  1. I honestly don't care who goes down tbh. If it doesn't concern us, then I'm not really arsed.
  2. They mention he was on £52,000 a week at Marseille. Surely, we wouldn't even pay that in our current frugal policy?
  3. This sort of shite won't stand the test of time anyway so we only have to endure it once a year and we're fine. Unlike Sex on Fire which you'll hear until you die. Enjoy that thought.
  4. Williamson and Routledge were good signings IMO.
  5. He's right. Put Sam Cooke up against any white soul singer and it's like Spain playing the Faroe Islands. You might like Sharon Jones btw, Leazes.
  6. Rap is far more innovative than rock music these days tbh. Brainwashed. I'm talking the good stuff like, not shite like Eminem. Straight up rock music is so depressingly shit especially when they try to sing with a bit of emotion. Coldplay have a lot to answer for.

  8. Bollocks. The 2000s was easily as consistent as the 60s and 70s.
  9. Sufjan Stevens - All Delighted People EP About as lovely as you'd expect. The first track is absolutely class.
  10. Some are good for some subjects, shite for others. I went to Teesside for History and that had a growing reputation as a good university of History but it was fairly shite for everything else by all accounts. The main building looked like a block of flats in Bensham.
  11. If anyone steals your food, piss in their drawers.
  12. Basically my first year as well. I didn't hand in 4 bits of work and still passed.
  13. Kevin, spend your loan on strippers and alcohol.
  14. I did general studies as an AS, passed it then dropped it into A-Level. I think I done it because another option was blocked. It's basically a crash course into everything that happens in the world with no real depth.
  15. Is he hiding a football up his top?
  16. I'd avoid the Bigg Market, full of the scummier lot of Newcastle. Most places are fine with fancy dress as well so you'll be fine. As for places to go, there's plenty so it depends what you're after.
  17. You still can. Do the voluntary work over the next year and whack it on your personal statement/CV before Uni and you'll look a far more attractive prospect for the Uni to take on.
  18. Up in where? That's the best thing you can do at this point...think. Don't rush into anything. You work at maccies so you won't end up on the dole. You can afford to take your time, even if it means missing out on college/uni this year. And if you want any advice on computer programming type career stuff, I'll advise you from my own experience. I have another year of upper 6th. I apply for uni in january. we'll see how things turn out in the next few weeks. It's probably been suggested already, but have you tried asking for a voluntary placement with an IT company? At least then you can see if you like the work, gain some valuable experience, and get some valuable contacts and references. You have said elsewhere you want more shifts at Maccy D's, so you clearly have plenty of spare time- put it to good use. You can do that ? I doubt someone would just let me in but. You get the opportunity to do work placements at Uni as well but if you just send whoever an e-mail and say that you're interested in gaining some experience, some places might have places for you. It won't hurt to ask; worst thing they say is No, best thing is you get some valuable experience and one up on other people when you eventually apply for work.
  19. And you made the same mistake we all made! You have your degree(s?) before you knew which degree you actually needed. It's the system! They all try and push people into education without letting them choose their life first. I agree with that like. When I was at school/6th form, it was nowt but "meet these careers advisors" "sort your personal statements out" "which university are you going to? Well, these subjects will help" at 14/15. I remember thinking "fuck off, man. I'm not even through puberty yet, never mind at the point where I want to pick a career" No chance you actually thought that you wierdo! Well, I was probably looking at the tits of the careers advisor but still, I'm attempting to sound mature here, man

  21. That proves my point! You only want to go to uni to avoid the dole - although getting a job/career would do the same thing, but you want to avoid that scary prospect too. Wouldn't say that's true of everything like. If he goes and takes a Business degree, fair enough but some jobs you need to have University qualifications, be it degrees or masters.
