As it happens, I'm staying in Birtley. I'm on me way into town later I except to see sh*t loads of tw*ts wearing yellow striped shirts speaking Scottish. Funny people the gerodies, me bird saw shit loads of them running out of Moats house with his shitty boxers. By the way Alex (above) you thick cu*t Paul Maccartney played a gig at Anfield last year I'm sure you are Name another place in Gateshead it's next to then. And last I checked, The Beatles finished in 1970. 2009 is not 1970. Nor is Paul McCartney in The Beatles now. The Beatles' best stuff was written and recorded nowhere near Liverpool too.

I love how he's continually repeating his "liverpool have" thing as if it's a slogan down there.

I'd put money on him being used in central midfield when he arrives here. It's a bit concerning reading that post but it's a signing for the long term (or it should be) so he could develop nicely. I'm being cautiously optimistic with it.

Why did they paint a face on that building?

Biffy are fucking shite now IMO. I like Mumford and Sons' album but I prefer Laura Marling's more. The XX is very good but I can't see it winning the Mercury Prize. I'm going for Mumford along with Happy. An outside bet of Weller.

Very good in my experience. They're certainly experts at fixing the RRoD since I got mine back in 9 days once (anywhere between that and 2 weeks, they say) and it came with a new disk tray to boot.

While you pay more for Live, the accessibility and features of the service are much better. If you're bothered about achievements/trophies, it's much easier to access and compare with your friends (which, tbf, the only reason having them is to have more than your mates), it has basic stuff like party chat, private chat without having to be in the same game, a better spotlight on their marketplace offers and new releases (indie games aside) and is just an easier service to get around. It's not as easy to look at as the XMB on the PS3 but it functions a lot better. As for games, well, it's basically down to "Do you prefer Mass Effect or Killzone? Do you prefer Forza or Gran Turismo" since those are really the only exclusives either console has so it's a similar choice. The PS3 is definitely better made but the slim 360 supposedly addresses the main problems so, I don't know, maybe that'll have a better rate of not exploding.

I quite like it. It's a bit poncy like, but it's not really flavoured with tequila, it's flavoured with some citrus concoction making it a bit like lager and lime. The tequila just strengthens it a bit (it's 6% iirc) but you can't taste it imo. Bit too sweet for my liking, I've got to say. Is very similar to larger and lime now that you mention it like but I could barely polish it off. When I was drinking it, I couldn't help thinking that the two should never be combined. Following on from the earlier talk about Carling, we were in some god awful pub last night that had nowt going for it so had to get that on draught. It's like drinking contaminated rain water.
-
That was my first thought as well

Had some Desperados last night which is a tequila flavoured lager. Basically, the stupidest fucking idea for a drink I've ever seen.

Average. 4/10 But better than the new Polanski 'Ghost Writer'. Really bad. 2/10. No tension, wit, vision, characters or anything. Nice house on the beach is all it had going for it. Bond nor Luke could save it. I looked here before Kevin's post to see the Predator review score was a 3. I demand explanation! Was it Danny Trejo? In all seriousness I couldn't give it a 3. But how the fuck do you cast a skinny creative actor (The Pianist etc) as the lead badguy? Ruins the whole thing. Some nice touches with the alien world but rest is predictable shoot anything that moves bollocks. No guile and littel mystery. Fair enough. I did think that Adrien Brody was an odd choice like. I couldn't buy him as a threat to the Marks and Spencers returns department if he was arguing over a cashmere jumper that shrunk in the wash. -

There's a version of it in gif form somewhere which is hilarious. Definitely worth clicking though, quality.

Heard the same off my mate at the pub. He also reckons that a personality like Campbell's could clash with the atmosphere we have in the dressing room atm. All speculation obviously but the egos seemed to have been whittled from the dressing room.

Shamelessly stolen from Armchair Pundit in the Transfer Talk Thread He'd improve the back four, that's for sure and is the kind of experience that's useful in a relegation battle. I'm assuming that he comes with big wage demands though and I'm surprised Ashley would pay them. Providing it's true of course.

Would Ashley pay his wages?

Rothbury's been getting a lot of buzz recently.

Movie night with Happy Face and his grandmother was a huge success. We watched Meet Me In St Louis on Friday night before going to bed at 10.30pm and it didn't pass without comment how much more enjoyable it was than standing in a 5 person deep scrum in a bar. I first saw Meet Me In St. Louis in the Dog and Parrot and the bar was so moved by it, they even stopped hitting each other with pool cues for five minutes to wipe away the tears and console each other. -

Joseph Gordon Levitt is one of my favourite young actors atm. His performance lifts 500 Days of Summer out of mediocrity. -

Foobar is a small download and very simple to use and very quick (which is why I like it). It doesn't show you the running time of groups of tracks though (not to my knowledge anyway) but for simply listening to music, it's perfect. -
Just stop playing up, man. Nobody is taking the piss when they say how fucking annoying and cretinous your posting is. It's not funny, it's not interesting and the fact you continue to play it up is making it worse. I'm sure you're a decent enough lad when you're not acting the prick, so don't do it and you won't be subjected to Wacky saying he's going to rape you.
