Giving this a break for a bit because I'm enjoying Driver San Francisco a lot more, I'm sad to say. I think I'm getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of quests I have on my plate so going to take care of them all first and then continue on. I've still not touched the main quest and I've been playing for 17 hours.

good for him, santon did that as well, difference being is he made quite a number of appearances doing it, picked up two league medals and a champions league medal along the way (nevermind the coppa italia as well) There'll be a bedding in period with him though. You're disrupting a backline that's been solid and there's no assurances he's going to hit the ground running. If he does then, fair play, I'll agree it's right to drop him but I think it's far too soon to disrupt the back four because of one defeat.
-
Yeah let's keep a crap makeshift left back in the side while Santon finishes his memories of playiing for Newcastle (one page). Santon's 20 year old ffs. Tell you what, we'll throw him in against Nani and Valencia for his first PL game in English football and see how he copes aye? As mental as calling for Ben Arfa to start as soon as his bones were mended. Aye because it's not like he's got experience from handling Ronaldo and keeping him quiet during a champions league game against Man.Utd... HANG ON! but aye playing against the same club in a different competition makes the world of difference. You're right its best we keep Taylor or "United" Simpson on so one can be his usual average at best and the other can do his "sideways shuffle" while letting said wingers cross, that's a much better plan. Andy Griffin kept Juventus quiet once. Fact is, that settled back line has been a big part of a good start.

Thought he was canny slow to react. My overall point was that people wanting to drop Taylor is more to do with a longer held opinion on him coupled with the unknown quantity of Santon on the bench who is rated. Let's not forget people were calling for Marveaux to start on the right despite him being one-dimensional and uncomfortable out there in the games he played wide right. Santon should be the next RB as soon as Simpson's out the team, not the LB. Taylor's been infinitely more solid than Simpson this year IMO (though, I accept that part of that is down to Gutierrez' contributions defensively (which again, brings up the ludicrous notion that some people have had of dropping him)), is more comfortable with the ball at his feet and has scored important goals. Simpson offers nothing but a decent sprinter. Drop Taylor when we get a natural LB but IMO, he's done nowt to warrant getting dropped like. This game wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back ala Williamson's shite run of form that let Steven Taylor back in, just one dodgy game against the best team in the country and the most in-form full back in the league. Evra struggled, Assou-Ekotto struggled, Warnock struggled, Olsson would have struggled. He's not a scapegoat for our loss yesterday. I've since watched the full 90 minutes btw. Mistakes, aye but fucking hell, Steven Taylor has made worst mistakes in the past year.

I saw Santon struggle with using his left foot for 70 minutes at Blackburn. The kid looks a trillion times more comfortable on his right foot. He's the very definition of a confidence player and dropping him now would fucking batter him. If we dropped everyone after a shit performance against the best team in the country, we'd get nowhere. So, aye, it's reactionary nonsense. Should we drop Krul as well? Should have done better for their second IYAM.
-
Reactionary nonsense. Had one poor game in a string of 12 ffs.

Manche$ter City v Newcastle United

I've not seen the match like but the crack on Twitter suggests it was a decent showing against a side who are probably the best in the country and who, at one point, resorted to falling over in our box to wrap things up. I'll take a good, competitive performance like. -

Says a lot about the way our squad responds to off field antics that we reckon we could get something here. Strength in adversity and all that. Would take a boring draw but feel it won't be that simple. -
I'm sure you've all been missing my guides on how to play this game the right way but I've been in Glasgow, some parts of which look a bit like Riften.

I'm only Level 14 because I spent 20 minutes doing the smithing cheat and then started sneaking into walls right where the enemies couldn't see me to get my sneak up.

Using your dragon shout to push people off the side of mountains is my favourite thing to do in this game. That poor horse didn't know what hit it but then karma struck when a snow troll came and chinned me and I fell off the side of a mountain. Snow Trolls are still the bane of my existence in this game. Bloke didn't rebuy his cheese. I demand Bethesda patch that in.

The mackems on Twitter were talking about how this result has put us back in our place. Center of their world.

Chamberlain probably shook Hitler's hand after they agreed on appeasement, look how that turned out. -
Now that's what I call gaming! Let us know mate. Was all still there. Living in filth, this twat so I stole all his cheese to see if he buys anymore.

Not had any mental 12 hour sessions with this as I did with Oblivion. Don't know if it's age or interest level or what but I've done 14/15 hours so far but in little chunks. Just been ploughing through Dark Brotherhood anyway. Punched the bride in the back of the head with a sneak attack and killed her which was nice and a gentle reminder to the rest of Skyrim that when I put a boxing clinic on, nobody gets out alive. Ran around naked to see the reactions but so far, Skyrim loses out to Saint's Row 2 in the NPC reaction to streaking sadly. Went into a random house while the homeowner was asleep and moved everything I could in his bedroom into his living room and then I'm going to go back in a few days and see if he's shifted it all back.

Ben Arfa and Santon both know the crack; don't fuck with something that's working. Bleeding Ben Arfa in until he gets back to full fitness is the important thing. Would you have started him as soon as he was fit like? -
You watch it to laugh?

Bouncing between Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Companions but I've now got Stormcloak stuff on my plate too. The scope of this game is crazy.
-
Starting the Thieves Guild where I have to burn some bees or some shit and have basically, yet again, been unable to avoid just killing everyone in sight. Quite how I was supposed to pickpocket the one bloke when he sits facing the door I come in from is beyond me

Drive was mint, I thought. Ryan Gosling is nails in it and the 2 main chase scenes are class. -

Agree with Parky here. They're not unbeatable but I don't think we're the team who'll ruin their run yet. -
Why are England so shite at football?
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
Rooney was immense at Euro 2004. Looked like Sven kept him on a leash for 6 hours before each match and just sent him out there.
