Newcastle United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Ayatollah Hermione replied to Dazzler's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thought they had the better of the opening but we soon shuffled things about and got a grip on it. Still some loose touches and passes but just need to keep it simple and solid from here on in. They will certainly bring Cunha on at some point so we could do with that second goal -
Botman, Burn, Hall, Targett, Livramento is more than enough to cover the left hand side of defence. Signing someone for free and flipping him for £10-15 million is exactly the shit you have to do these days, I’m afraid.

People begging for Hayden to start last season during our injury crisis was a particular low point

Can’t wait for another “getting up to speed” performance where he’s running in treacle and can’t make a pass to save his life -

7 minutes! You’ve got to laugh really
-
Murillo has been outrageously good tonight. Anderson not far behind him
-
We somehow stay in fifth
-
Mad night of results here, all great games from the look of it. Hope we buck the trend with a boring 2-0 win tomorrow. No fucking about
-
His shock as well He must be the only bloke who doesn’t realise he’s a right dirty cunt
-
Must admit, I thought us beating Forest (I think they lost the game before that too?) would see them drop off but fair play, they’re getting better as the season goes
-
Palmer scores and Owen Hargreaves has spunktaenously combusted
-
Looking at Bournemouth’s bench, they do seem massively stretched. Hopefully it’s a 0-0 draw tonight against Chelsea and we can take advantage on Saturday
-
I agree with regards to injury to Isak, like. If we can do it all, I’d be trying to get someone in on loan because we all know Wilson’s February return date is about as likely as Richie Edwards nipping back to his old gaff for a change of clothes
-
Consistency is always the issue. If not for that dodgy run in the autumn, we’d be up there. FWIW, I think we’ll gradually improve the squad in smart ways, it’s just shifting some of the shit is proving nigh on impossible.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

I’m sure the rules will be similarly lax if we try anything -

Good lord, don’t get many of them to the pound -
We have three current England internationals
-
It could be that Barnes is much better when he gets settled into the team and has a run of games but the quality of Gordon makes that look very unlikely unless the latter gets an injury. And he seems pretty durable up to now. It’s hard because he is a much better option off the bench than some other teams have but he probably also wants to start games.

Gemmill’s crippling lack of taste exposed again. Sad!

Oh my god stop. It’s like arguing with someone who thinks water is dry -
Well, if they’d have turned up in numbers and supported their team yesterday, the “consideringly” lower opposition team could have been them again.

Consider this: be quiet

Thought we were shocking first half and, if Barnes isn’t injured, he’d have no excuses about being taken off as he was fucking shit. Likewise for Longstaff and Almiron. I know they’re in and out if the team and confidence is probably low but Longstaff was receiving simple balls to feet and his touch was fucking shocking. I don’t think we would have needed Gordon and co to win it but it was nice to have the option. Made up for Osula to get his first goal since he’s worked his socks off since he got here

I’m enjoying Silo, it’s just slower than last season. Will work better as a binge rather than week to week
