He's not scored for 44 hours now. His goals per minute at the club ratio is plummeting.

it's not too late for you 😏

it was still an all day even in 81 when spurs beat us. first match was 1-1 with city scoring a crazy own goal back header over the keeper. the replay was the ricky villa final. he ran round our defenders like statues. but i still think steve mckenzies half volley from 3 miles out was the best goal of the game.

What people fail to realise (possibly because i might be wrong) is that back in the day, winning the FA Cup was a bigger prize than the winning the league. Least thats my understanding. The league was bread and butter but the FA Cup was the pinnacle. In 76 City had won 9 major trophies to (Man) United's 11. Most of their silverware is recent making all this history stuff nonsense as far as liverpool and manure are concerned.

I love that thought. How long before EUFA bring us up on a charge for playing Haaland? I hate the scousers and their "history". Did you know that in 1970 Liverpool were no more successful than City or Spurs (8 major honours each) and guess which was the only club out of those 3 not to have a european trophy. Then along came the littlewoods money to buy them a new team, promotion and trophies. And the Moores family weren't even their first sugar daddy. Worth knowing for when their fans come for you.

Everyone but Haaland scoring would have made it at least 10-0. That would have been decent consolation. We play the red dippers next week, he can make up for only scoring the one then 😜 A great time to be a blue.

when he missed a couple and Cancelo scored i turned to my daughter and said "i've brought you to see Haaland now watch everyone but Haaland score" At 3-0 she said "You cursed it Daddy" Luckily Haaland is so good he can break weak ass curses like mine.

i think its a fair bit of both

More likely i'm your ghost of christmas past Either that or one of us is Danny De Vito and the other is Arnold Schwarzenegger

it depends. my dad doesn't know the first thing about football. does Fish?
-
stockport were the first team i ever saw and they got absolutely battered. so that was that.

This is the only other fans forum i have an account on. I've been on bluemoon as Lord Blue since about 2007 when a previous forum closed down. And that was curiosity over the takeover what with it being a potentially similar journey to ours. I quite like it though. People are friendly so i come back every now and then. Got a tab left open so i sometimes see the little (1) and click the tab. Not an argument though, trying to avoid it as i'm a guest. Am i still like Fish?

I'm from Stockport but i do quite like tapas. I used to catch the one bus to the ground now i need to set aside a weekend. worth it though.

And why would i tell you that? For all i know you might be Eddie Howe in disguise. Are you? Your biggest mistake was assuming i know anything at all. I'm just a 57 year old football masochist, loving my club regardless of success and to be honest i don't really care about success i just want a good day out with my mates. Driving up tonight with my 14yo daughter for the game tomorrow so it's more about her than my mates this time and really looking forward to it. Years ago, when they did black history month at school, she did her presentation on Yaya Toure. All the other kids were doing Nelson Mandela etc, I was so proud.

it isn't boring at all. but then, like you guys, i had a lot of years suffering our shy and retiring neighbours. being married to a red, i certainly enjoy derby day a lot more than i used to. i used to pray everything would go our way and we could somehow sneak a draw. now i want us to score 10.
-
there you go, we rotated him last night 🙂
-
Well i can't disagree with that. Haaland is clearly a game changer. Maybe he has made a low block/counter strategy against us a much riskier strategy and a thing of the past. Although you do have Dan Burn who is possible one of only a few players that can "out-monster" our monster. (tbh i'm unsure of how good/bad dan burn actually is) don't know if you watched last night. No Foden, De Bruyne or Rodri ! No Problem. The academy showcased Cole Palmer (coming along nicely thank you), Rico Lewis & Josh Wilson-Esbrand it's taken us about 10 years to get to this point. i hope for your older fans that you do it a little quicker but we managed to get in ahead of tougher FFP and we have Pep so we may have done it quickly.
-
i think the majority of the points we drop come from a low block and a quick counter. palace do it to us really well. pressing us is fine but that's what we want you to do. we try and draw teams onto us then beat the press and counter. it creates the space we need. your pressing worked well this season but i do think that we looked rusty due to only 1 full and 1 storm interrupted pre-season game (our choice i know but Pep likes to give them a long break) but who knows
-
we rode our luck at yours, but if current form is anything to go by it should be different at the etihad for sure, 4 home games, 4 hat tricks !! plus akanjii seems insane at the back, a steal at £15m.
-
meanwhile Foden has got to 50 goals quicker than Messi 🙂(not that anyone's that good, just saying)
-
normally when pressed we play it around at the back quickly. sometimes it goes wide and back in field a few times sucking more players into the press before a ball i s played through the lines and off we go. long is usually a last ditch tactic by us. except for balls pinged from one side of the pitch to the other. we rarely play and over the top style long ball. but of course i could be talking bollocks. i am on antibiotics for a chest infection cold thing, maybe i'm feverish
-
ah is that the one where its all body contact? i do remember that (didn't realise your players name, sorry), i remember thinking we got away with one but don't remember thinking stonewall penalty. But you should see the number of stonewall penalties we don't get. we would have screamed "home ref" had that happened but in truth couldn't have been too aggrieved either.
