  1. I haven't heard much about Harrison but i think he has something like 8 goals and 4 assists in 8 games for the U18's and was making a name for himself. I also understand he has a 40% sell on clause so i hope he does really well for you guys. City don't mind selling these kids as we seem to have a conveyor belt and the sheer number of them raises money for the first team
  2. I listened to it buddy We're very lucky to have Stefan Borson (aka projectriver) as a city fan. he was wise to come at it from a legal angle rather than a city fan stance as the latter would have led to him being ignored. he states that relegation is likely if we're found guilty. he also states how unlikely it is that we are guilty, and even then, how difficult it would be to prove. of course relegation is the most newsworthy sound bite worth noting that we haven't been charged with anything yet. the premier league are "merely" investigating alleged breaches. see original fa statement... alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules Stefan also made a guest appearance on an arsenal fanzine. it doesn't sound great for chelsea... discussing city, everton, forest and chelsea Stefan writes football stuff here... conspiracy-theories-and-innuendo and has a twitter account as @slbsn Stefan Borson is CEO and General Counsel of Watchstone Group plc having previously advised Manchester City whilst a banker with Investec between 2002 and 2007
  3. hopefully he sounds chirpier when he gets on to us
  4. i do have the deepest sympathy for you. i've long stopped listening to it too. but i saw on our forum that stefan will supposedly be "schooling" simon jordan around 11. more relevant for me of course. thought i'd spread it just in case someone wants to listen
  5. if you're interested in FFP, bluemoons projectriver / stefan on talksport around 11. very knowledgeable on FFP and the city case. think he's a KC but that might be a different bluemoon member rick parry on talksport right now.
  6. Ah sorry you mentioned FFP so i got confused. The ESL 6 were of course the 2 manchester clubs, liverpool, chelsea, arsenal and for some unknown reason spurs. The 6 clubs who voted against FFP were Fulham, West Brom, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Swansea and Southampton. In a darkly funny twist, everton voted for FFP. I'm unsure if forest were in the PL at the time. Everton were also amongst the 5 original clubs to breakaway from the league and form the premier league along with spurs, man u, liverpool and arsenal.
  7. Which big 6 are you talking about? of the current top 6 City and Villa both voted against the introduction of FFP and presumeably still would even though it probably benefits us now. We were the last to join the superleague and the first to actually withdraw (chelsea said they would first, meanwhile we acted). Supposedly we didn't want to but joined out of FOMO. I suspect we'd be allies.
  8. There were leaks before Christmas that it would be November 2024. No idea if thats correct though tbf.
  9. Big Tony Soprano has us covered. Everton and that glass house of theirs.
  10. Man City haven't been found guilty of anything as yet. Many think that their is no time limit on the charges. Although Clubs have to operate under English Law so if the PL ignore that it gives us the opportunity to take it to the courts. Also the PL haven't suggested fraud (i know you didnt either) as that would imply a criminal offence and again give us recourse to the courts.. We won't challenge FFP itself (imo). But we will defend ourselves by putting our "army of lawyers" up against the PL's "army of lawyers". Both sides can afford the very best btw, not just us.
  11. Seems Everton and Forest are guilty and have admitted as such and its the punishment that is being debated. The key thing is are we guilty or innocent? This from a good city source "Prestwich_Blue" on our forum sums it up nicely.... It's actually two offences when you break it all down. We used artificially inflated sponsorship agreements to overstate our revenue, which led to us knowingly filing incorrect accounts. We didn't declare payments made to Mancini, via the Al Jazira contract, and to players, via the Fordham image rights arrangements. That's it. The rest is just window dressing You'd think that point 1 would be quite easy to prove/disprove. Obviously City can only provide City's paperwork but can't force a Sponsor to provide anything. Still that should be enough? Remember it's up to the Premier league to prove their case first and foremost. CAS looked at some of that for the UEFA case and said there was nothing suspicious. The Mancini payments whilst suspicious as they were between him for a couple of million with an Abu Dhabi club for consultancy pre joining City. Nothing techinically wrong but i guess we'll see. The Fordham image rights payments i have no idea about. As far as i'm aware there is no damning evidence out in the public domain. So not quite sure why the court of public opinion has us guilty. For any thinking that CAS still left a non-cooperation fine on City, it's simple; we cooperated fully up until UEFA leaked confidential information about our business and then we stopped cooperating.
  12. Arteta managed City for 1 game. We lost. He's pants. Case closed.
  13. correct imo. we sold Jesus and Zinchenko to Arsenal who were title rivals and we sold Sterling to Chelsea.
  14. if there's an obligation to buy then its the loan fee + the purchase fee that matters. i think a higher loan fee normally suggests no obligation but i'm no expert.
  15. i agree with your first point, but i have a different view on debt. debt should indeed be taken into account. restricting the losses over a 3 year period would be okay if they allowed owner investment (gifts not loans). the larger your debt the less you should be able to spend. i'm thinking of man uniteds massive debts. maybe allowable debt should be linked with revenue, not sure. this whole thing about new owners being allowed to spend what they like is bollocks. maybe our owners should sell our clubs to each other for £1, then sell them back again so we can invest.
  16. that's a really interesting point. although it might be awkward if you spent a £10billion in one window to win the premier league causing you to fail UEFA's FFP. or worse, all four clubs at the top of the premier league being banned form europe for failing ffp 🙃 originally the rules were meant to be to protect clubs against themselves. overspending and going into administration etc. keep that aspect as it still allows for free owner investment.
  17. No, no, no we didn't start FFP. Granted it was introduced to stop new money clubs, like us, from threatening the establishment. Whilst we've always had an academy, we rebuilt our academy AFTER the introduction of FFP. As an aside City voted against the introduction of FFP, Newcastle voted in favour of it (probably Ashley trying to avoid spending). Fulham, West Brom, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Swansea and Southampton all voted against FFP whilst Reading abstained, Had Reading or one other club (such as you guys) voted against it, it wouldn't have had enough votes. But that's history now.
  18. yeah no arguments from me on that one i'd imagine there are loads of man united supporting refs due to their long period of success. hopefully we get some of that in the years to come. but the way the press and refs seem to treat us i doubt it.
  19. As far as i'm aware he's from Ashton and his declared team is Droylsden. But he's thought to be a Liverpool fan. He was in the Liverpool end in Carabao cup final against us. Many fans reckon they saw him and don't like him reffing us.
  20. They replayed it in slow mo live on tv, and the commentators all said it deliberate. As far as i'm aware that was what triggered Rodri. I'll try and find a pic. ps i'm not saying that Rodri's an angel. In fact he's a monster, but he's our monster so i like to turn a blind eye to his transgressions 😏
  21. thought i'd post these comments from bluemoon not mine but its interesting how different fan bases see things differently "Kev looks totally refreshed & invigorated, albeit lacking full match sharpness" which i agree with, players don't get much rest with the world cup and CL games. could be good for us. "Guimarães standing on Rodri's foot. In every other match I've seen in recent years, that is simply a yellow card, and there's no discussion about it. He didn't brush it, he didn't land on it briefly. There's no discussion, nobody gets angry. It's a yellow. Guimarães should have been off." i did think it should have been a yellow but no idea if he had already been booked. "... not many people bringing up Doku being a fanny, He pulled out of the challenge from Schar just before Bruno received the ball to play in behind. Doku needs to be committed and put his foot in to make a tackle and not shy away from it" although others were screaming for a foul as Doku jumped over a 2 footed challenge, had he not jumped it would have been a foul and a possible serious injury "Nothing wrong with the defending there. You don't have to let someone past because they're quicker than you. Dias plays him perfectly and the guy throws himself to the ground." probably the politest description of that contact. personally i wouldn't have cried if you'd have got a free kick there but did feel like Gordon thought oh goody an arm, i'll go down instead of continuing running. of course if it was the other way around.... "Pure filth. Football porn, that goal." referring to Bernado's back heel. Just like the way that poster posts. "The game should have been won long before God had to come to the rescue.. They had 2 or 3 chances and scored 2 whereas we had a pile of easier chances and scored none. We need to be far more clinical" to be fair there was some top defending and saves! "Battered them for most of the game. Had a wobble that almost cost us. Shit ref. Won in the end. Typical city." King Kev had no right to even attempt that pass. It was ludicrous. my verdict is that it was a proper game of football and a brilliant advertisement for the premier league. physical, some great movement and 5 great goals to the extent that MotD did a goal of the game piece. And despite possession stats it could have gone either way. Newcastle v Man City in the Premier LEague is starting to become a goal fest.
