  1. It’s quite simple. City are not guilty. the only public domain known “evidence” is the hacked de spiegel emails. which prove nothing. uae won’t speak to the PL as city aren’t owned by the Abu Dhabi government. They are owned in part by sheikh mansour (via other companies) but in a personal capacity not a state one. if the PL were scared of political issues they shouldn’t have started this thing. despite planning the charges for 4 years the PL rushed the charges out. Hence all the mistakes in the original charges which they corrected a few days later. this is being driven by the cartel behind the scenes. Arsenal headed paper. Arsenal KC presiding over the case.
  2. To be fair I don’t know the guy. But as he’s a blue and you’re stripey, gotta side with him. hmm, or her or they
  3. There was a post here recently about lack of new registrations. Maybe this is why !
  4. pretty much. but remember I’m your pet city fan 🤓 he’s seen me defend the 115 but wants to defend the free stadium fallacy
  5. Not sure where to put this but a fellow bluemooner has asked me where the user registration page is and I confess I can’t find it. Can anybody help?
  6. are you sure you're a newcastle fan? seem to know a suspicious amount about maine road !! i only go do a minimum of 6 games a season due to the distance from south london but for some reason i get nostalgia at the etihad now. maine road is just a distant memory. good times there are like those chairs at primary school seeming huge but actually being tiny.
  7. problem was there was just as much chance of me getting a hiding in moss side as you. the long walk down dickinson road wasn't fun. i saw a few comments further back about stuff being thrown and basically hooligan city fans. but i very much doubt any top flight grounds were safe for away fans "back in the day". football may well be sanitized now but it least in far safer. well except where liverpool are concerned.
  8. I'll see your understanding and raise mine. man city are not prepared to do a deal. they want their name cleared. man city have long since shipped all documentation to the PL. its not city that aren't replying. its the third parties like mancini and the etihad. its 100% on the PL to make their case. we cannot give them evidence to indite us if it doesn't exist.
  9. thats a good article. i'm in the old group of fans. times change. never use the tram always walk there with mates or sometimes on my own and meet mates there. always go for a few beers before hand and after. often local then get a mini bus with others. for all the romance of old grounds i much prefer the etihad to maine road. its your mates that make it what it is, not concrete. maybe we need some bad times to clear some plastics. what is the dream success/support combination though?
  10. a fair point although not quite true. some charges could be time barred under PL rules, depends on the wording, but its unlikely that will be a factor. for instance i've heard said that liverpools hacking of citys database would now be time barred. CAS couldn't rule us not guilty on the time barred stuff as it was time barred but CAS stated that there was no evidence to support the time barred charges.
  11. long term city fans hate those fans too. sadly with success comes plastics and knobs. i would like to think that core support is the same as ever. some city fans long for the old days but they're gone (unless we lose the 115). i've done my time suffering and more than happy for a few years in the sun before i pop my cloggs
  12. the wifes face was cut but otherwise fine thanks. my girls were fine too. now we have the fun of insurance and blame and garages.
  13. the rules were hurried in to stop us and psg. and had to be tweaked but we both got through and they didnt like it. yes we're protected by the rules now. fully agree. i think city fans are split on whether we want a level playing field or to enjoy the benefits a little longer. i would prefer a level playing field. But not one with liverpool or united or arsenal at the top. not after what they've done to us. we're not obfuscating or delaying by the way. defence doesn't come into play until prosecution have had their say. otherwise what are we defending? we hear the words charges a lot but its still an investigation into allegations. our defence is our books and contracts, its up to the premier league to challenge specifics at which point we can defend the specific accusation. also, we can only supply citys books, supposedly the premier league are also chasing info from third parties. why should mancini even reply to the premier league. big companies have done their due diligence and then invested in us. seems unlikely they found anything. Man utd took omar berrada from us as their CEO. He would be heavily involved in any FFP misdeeds by city should they exist. so united presumably think he's doe nothing wrong. if we're dirty, he's very dirty. i was joking about the apologies. despite being cleared by cas of all charges, everyone said we were guilty still. when has the truth ever stopped an opinion piece by the way. we are frustrated that the club hasn't pursued the press or banned a few like fergie used to do. also i may be in a bit of a mood as the wife had a car crash with my daughters in the cart yesterday. all okay but still. so apologies for me not being quite so neutral as i normally am here
  14. thought you put out the right kind of lineup to frustrate and nick it today. defend solidly, press. counter quick. thought you pressed well in spells. we got 2 lucky goals that let us coast playing keep ball. even if we were nearly undone a couple of times. funny how different fan bases see things differently. most blues will tell you that the bbc hate us and that there is a clear and obvious bias against us from them. admittedly towards the history clubs. they can't not mention the 115.. they were desperate for liverpool to beat us and before that united. city aren't financially doped. they're just well run by serious businessman rather than ex football people or entrepreneurs. there's a reason that newcastle united and manchester united want to copy the model. and it's not about cheating. those 115 charges will see us exonerated imo. in which case the papers will be full of apologies just like after CAS (yeah right). for those that missed it they cleared us of all charges due to their being and i quote "no evidence" (bar compliance). they also stated that whilst they couldn't rule on the time barred charges, "no evidence" had been submitted to support them. the words "no evidence" appeared 17 or 19 times can't remember which. the compliance fine was reduced from 30m to 10m due to mitigating circumstances. namely we stopped complying when they started leaking confidential information to the (supposedly it was liverpool supporting rick parry who dunnit whilst sitting on uefa's ffp board). we've missed grealish big time. injured, returns, injured, repeat. gets fouled constantly so no wonder. he was a key player in the treble. brings us the kind of possession and control that doku is nowhere near. pep hasn't so much alluded to that as simply state it. poor liverpool and arsenal with their injuries. you don't see it in the press but we've had significant spells without Ederson, Stones, Rodri, KDB, Grealish, Doku and Haaland. Half of those would be the spine of any other premier league team. noticed that bruno was linked to us in a few papers. funny how that only happens when we play each other. its a 2 way street, we're fed up of playing you guys too. its no fun.
  15. I remember we were winning 1-0 in the final until Tommy Hutchison scored a long range headed own goal late on. No one saw that coming. Typical City. Don't think we bothered with a replay...
  16. she's right. i've always said that too. in my memory it was a volley from the half way line. in reality it was a half volley from standard range i think.
  17. My predicted lineup ------------------Ortega-------------- Lewis-----Dias------Akanji-----Gvardiol --------------Kovacic------Rodri-------------- Bernardo-----------Foden-----------Nunes --------------------Haaland--------------------- 90yo scott carson is our number 3 keeper. number 2 with ederson out. alvarez, stones, walker, doku on the bench along with some kids, oscar bobb, micah hamilton, true grant, jacob wright, mahamadou susoho (or someone with a vey similarly spelt name) no ederson, no grealish, no kdb
  18. for me its front 3 with kane and saka 2 of those midfield 3 with rice behind bellingham and foden back 4 with stones in his hybrid defender midfielder role to support rice when in possession
  19. not a fan of it but he's nicknamed the sniper, apparently. so i guess thats why.
  20. Sure you've all seen these liverpool late Villa late Wolves were only a day late
  21. article about City and FFP plus a long debate with Stefan Borson and Nick Harris on spotify stefan borson on possible wembley of the north one of my favourites - transrer and wage spend in PL era oh and 4 times in one season doesn't seem fair. just heard that Grealish will probably miss it. Probably for the best given the stick he gets.
