  1. As much as I like a laugh as much as the next person. It was beyond ridiculous tagging in Priti Patel. She is probably doing her best to get him on a plane to Rwanda as we speak.
  2. I just assumed it was the equivalent of an automatic reply. I thought that maybe they had purchased a template to help them put in transfer offers and sent the same email out regardless of the player or their club.
  3. I thought we were supposed to like offering £25m
  4. They have a massive pile up of fixtures between now and the World Cup so I think he is more likely to get games there than here. It is a shame but I believe that everything has its time and maybe that is the way it is with him. Manchester United still also has a lot of stock world wide which will raise his profile a bit. I don't think it is the best or the worst decision he could be making.
  5. Part of me wonders if this is due to the way Bruno plays for us. I do wonder if he thought it would not give the balance we need. Alternatively, he may never have given him any thought. Either way, I am very impressed with the business that we have done so far.
  6. This tactic is working great lads. We need to apply it every game haha. Just for the record, I do agree with your post haha
  7. Is that a double gazump over both Arsenal and AC Milan?
  8. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. Full window had been a let down. I don't care what anyone says about giving Mandy and co time. At least we knew where we stood with Ashley.
  9. I agree with the price. I just think we have a plan. Is he an England International?
  10. So if we do sign Isak for the fee being discussed, I wonder if some people will accept that we have a price structure for each player that we are willing to spend and stop being upset when we won't put in the extra 10-20M on a player like Maddison? Even if we do all want him here.
  11. I have the vague memory of Darlow being a decent goal keeper and and not understanding us getting Dubs or did we have Krull still?
  12. Who would have thought 12 months ago we would be benching Joelinton because we wanted to rest one of the better Premier League players and then we wanted him to come on to dish out a bit of retribution. Crazy times
  13. I cannot believe we are able to produce the level of performance not even considering where we were 12 months ago. I still go into any game expecting to lose and against Manchester City just expecting to accept the hammering. To watch such a shambolic performance from a referee and still be able to enjoy the game is amazing. I feel ashamed as I wasn't that impressed when we got Howe, not that impressed with Burn and I did not understand why we got Pope. What a massive turn around. I never thought I would feel like this about us again. Crazy times.
  14. Says a lot that it takes this level of play to score past us. I still believe. I've not felt like this for years.
  15. Genuinely loving the mild criticism of Miggy, Wilson play and Trippier's set pieces in this thread. Can we throw a few more mild insults below please?
  16. I was shocked by the first score read out. I am still relatively new to boxing but even I could see it was a clear Usyk win.
  17. I cannot believe people are upset. We have signed an improved keeper and a major upgrade at centre back which has longevity. The left back position is also a bonus. Looking back to January, we signed Trippier, Burn and Bruno. Last summer we went the full way to sign Willock. What is sad is that was actually quite a successful window all things considered. I wish people would stop and have a think. We are not in the Chapions League, we are not in Europe at all. We have a cap due to FFP. We have no recent history of success and we lost out to PSG on the striker who looked set to sign. If I was a young French player, am I going to want to go to NUFC as it is now or go to PSG and learn from the calibre of player they have now? I think (some) need a bit of perspective. We are not at the level of Manchester City and they couldn't sign Kane. It wasn't that much more to get there man last summer but the difference wasn't right for them. I don't think us stepping back from deals due to the financial situation will or should change as we move on to higher levels of success (I think we will pay more in the future but this will match the standard of player). I want us to be sensible with our money not end up like Everton.
  18. That is what happens when you don't pay stupid money for Kane.
