I only realised EHX made amps a few years ago when they put out their Mig 50 and Mig 100. Honestly wouldn't mind one of them, the old Sovtek's are great amps.

Josh Scott in good form here. I expected to see a mention of the old Randall RG series or the Laney amps from the same era but honestly no complaints, the oddball stuff he's found here really renders them all obsolete, even that really shitty looking DOD "grunge" amp.

I'll do some digging and see if I can find any dirt on him. (Joking like, but I'll try to make time to read over his blog. Seems like a good guy). How is the FY2 btw? I know bugger all about the company but looks like a really well made guitar. Shame you had to go and ruin it by mentioning Sambora. I'll concede I was tempted to have a dig at his prices until I checked the exchange rate and realised (most of) his stuff actually looks incredibly good value. Those enclosures look great too, a bit of a break from the norm. It's the half-assed, overpriced and overhyped stuff Analog Mike and the like put out that really winds me up. Not that he needs the blessings of cunts like me but if this Tym's stuff sounds as good as it looks he's alright in my book, and that's before even mentioning the Mascis and Bob Mould link, nor the unexpected Teenage Fanclub themed boost pedal he has listed.

An FY2? Good taste! Nice graphic too. I built one for a mate a few years ago. I think he fucking hated it. Pretty sure the conversation went exactly like the time we were drinking and I put on Endless Nameless by the Wildhearts ("yeah it does sound broken, it's meant to sound like that"). Only thing I would nitpick about is the switch seems pointless, I'd just hardwire the unity gain mod and be done with it. Won't really change the sound and I can't imagine anyone in their right mind would choose to run it stock. (Yeah I'm clutching at straws here).
