Other Games 21/22: Talk about Actual Football

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/15917648/athletic-bilbao-kids-win-women-team/ Straight out of Quiff's wank bank. -
Totally agree. I think your suggestion of it being an entirely ideological decision is backed up with how long it took for our governments and MSM to admit it was becoming a problem while they were simultaneously pulling out troops. This didn't happen overnight or by accident. I remember some Afghanis getting interviewed on the news a few weeks back getting asked shit like "what do you think driving the resurgence in Taliban support/why are people like yourself more sympathetic and accepting of their cause?". I can't speak Arabic for shit but I'm pretty sure the translators were just putting a neutral spin on "because you cunts are fucking off and anyone on your side is about to be slaughtered".

That's up there with the laziest attempts to discredit female pundits I've ever seen. -

Given the context I thought her basic grasp of language and understanding of the game was fine, and bar saying "possessive" rather than "possession" there's not much else to take with. Yer clutching at straws a bit here quiff man. -

I posted here this time last week - shitfaced and talking little to no sense - and have absolutely no memory of it, but you've got some fucking problems like. -

Would like to imagine this was a pure deadpan way for him to say "what a fucking stupid question, of course he's getting a scan tomorrow" but seems more like a genuine misunderstanding. Funny either way though. Makes me wonder other hilarious mistranslations are happing in the dressing room. -

Same. He wasn't quite in the same form last season but given the whole Celtic squad had a nightmare I wouldn't have thought that would dampened any interest in him much. Who knows? Maybe Celtic were reluctant to entertain any offers until they had someone else in the door? -

Rumoured that Brighton and Southampton are in for him from what I gather. Only a year left on his contract and he apparently wants away so would imagine he'll be sold. -

Absolutely, really clever runs off the ball, great first touch and can finish. Could've had 5 yesterday, plus the one he scored midweek in the Europa qualifier. No bad for someone that's barely been training with the team for a week. -

More likely just me drunk posting. What's amusing is that I've obviously went and edited it in to make it somewhat intelligible. Right then, half arsed attempt to drag this back on topic: Early days yet but that new Celtic forward looks absolute quality. Fully expect him be moving down south in a year or two. Too good a player for up here. -

Wish I could offer some insight but I've got no recollection of even posting that and absolutely no idea what it was supposed to mean. -

Ake as a #9 it the funniest thing I've heard for weeks. Not even that hard imagine. Halfway there if he ties back his hair, shit talks the English national team and works on his golf. -
46 I think. Haven't heard anything official yet around the cause of death but it was fairly well known he had a form MS from what I gather.

Weirdly was more shocked at Dusty Hill than Jordison passing. Jordison was a fucking incredible drummer though. Open mic rock and metal nights on the lake of fire sound more appealing than anything we've got going on up here at the moment like.

Breaking news: loner who ran out of beer less than an hour into a cup final has no idea how to look after himself.

Nobody else seen the recent Bill and Ted movie? It's fucking awful. I loved it. -
Aye, isn't the incubation period still said to be up to 14 days? Give it at least another few weeks and bear in mind July/August is hardly peak season for respiratory illnesses. Got to admit though I'm hugely entertained by this "I'm in rude health/my arm hurt/I might catch the flu at the doctor's" patter from TGQ.
-
I was wondering the same. I'm not eligible for whatever reason but if I was you could bet your life I'd take it, even knowing it's not a 100% guarantee I won't get the flu.

Add to that the other kid that drowned in Loch Lomond and the further two that drowned in the Clyde, all in the last week or so. On a lighter note theres a local kid here about 8yo in hospital looking at getting serious skin grafts after paddling in a river and brushing up against some hogweed.

I'm with Gemmill. It's a weird flex but whatever. "Free sunscreen? Fuck that, I'll take my chances with melanoma"
-
I mentioned having to isolate a few weeks ago after my unvaccinated mate got really ill from covid and almost every single person he'd seen on his birthday weekend also turned in positive results. Cunts still suffering weeks later and the vaccinated folk that tested positive in the aftermath have had little to no symptoms. I'll take any updated doses that are on offer, thank you very much.
-
Cheers Gemmill. It's all good though. I'm an old hand at this. Just a bit fucked off that it's happened again after all this time. Seriously uncomfortable few hours though and I'm not even talking about the lung. Locked in a single room in a part of the hospital where everyone's on high alert for a rapidly spreading respiratory virus. Even trying to get out of there after I'd been discharged was an ordeal, locked up like Fort Knox. Nightmarish. Edit just to add: none of that was meant to disrespect any NHS staff or call any of the regulations into question. Was a massive eye opener for me how hospitals are having to operate right now.
-
If only. Collapsed lung. Probably my 6th but the first in about 12 years and easily the most efficiently dealt with. In and out in about 8 hours. Guess they don't fuck around with anything respiratory related these days. "Get this cunt in isolation and don't go near him until we're sure it's not covid".
-
Spent the day in hospital yesterday. About an hour after the covid swab and without any explanation I got wheeled away into a red zone in the acute assessment unit. All individual isolation rooms with big red stop signs on each door. Absolutely shit myself, thought I'd tested positive and was gonna be stuck there for the foreseeable. Seriously ominous vibe about that unit even after finding out it wasn't a covid ward and I'd tested negative.

"Mind that holiday that was so shite that dad actually spent time with us rather than fuck off to the pub?"
