In their defence, as Scottish lower league fan (of a club that unfortunately share an acronym with the team these rtg knuckledraggers "support") I'll confess that I probably know more about some of the SPFL than my own club, purely because they get a lot more mainstream and fan media coverage. There's nae daily Stirling Albion blogs or podcasts I'm aware of (actually I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of our season ticket holders ran Rangers or Celtic podcasts). All that said, I dont know many of us who spend our weekends obsessing over Falkirk and Alloa results. Thats proper "wee-guy" mentality.

Give yer head a shake. They're sitting 3rd, rarely look like conceding and missing out on a Champions League place would only slightly affect the profile of players theyre likely able to attract in the summer. It's not like their future spending will be heavily dependent on Champions League money. I'd wager most on here would've been happy with European qualification in Howe's first full season in charge, before the chequebook has even really been opened. Its not even 18 months since the takeover and they're already taking scalps. If an away draw in January against a Palace side that shat it and parked the bus is the only thing that still gives you a semi, maybe it's time to see a doctor about ED because that's a problem that's only gonna get worse.

Actually, I might have just thought of a (somewhat unethical) way to make that feedback work for you if it comes to it. Feel free to message me in the unlikely event they try to shaft you. In other news, Murray grew up just a few miles from me and is a year younger. Unreal career he's had, but while he's still competing for Gland Slams and I'm here pissing about offering questionable eBay advice (on a forum for a team I don't even really follow) on a Friday night, I'd much rather change the subject before I start seriously questioning my life choices.
-
Good news: I've never once had someone try to pull a fast one after leaving good feedback. Bad news: sadly they can still open up a return request and the feedback won't help you. Would be a totally nonsensical way to run a scam though. Sure you'll be fine man.

Now I can taste it I'll concede that the instant coffee I've been happily drinking for years is actually rank, but since digging the cafetiere back out I think I might actually be able to live with my new found taste buds. Cheers for all the suggestions though guys. We have one of those Tassimo pod machines but all the pods I've tried were all piss weak. Never liked it. Used to have a nifty wee barista style espresso machine which was great but eventually broke and never got round to replacing. With the money I'll be saving I might look into finally replacing that. @Renton aye. Don't doubt for second I stank. Most of my coats probably still do, I can tell you my inside pocket of my winter coat still smells so strongly of tobacco Im half tempted to lick it right now. I was oddly on-board with the smoking ban at the time tbh, mostly down to the clouds of fag reek and that constant haze from the regular bin fires in the bookies. I did mildly resent us getting a year earlier than England, but it was amusing watching the fallout a year later after we'd already made peace with it and were starting to appreciate the benefits.

Life of an ice-cream van man. Our guy was largely the same. Duty free Regal that magically appeared from inside his coat

Was totally palatable when I was smoking near 30 a day. Also since my sense of smell returned I'm all for bringing back the 2 meter rule from lockdown, permanently.

I fucking loved it, right up until the missus made me a cup on Sunday morning. Spat the first mouthful out and demanded to know what the fuck kind of coffee it was and she replied "the same Kenco stuff you were drinking yesterday morning". Its not even just coffee like. Almost everything tastes weird and people and things have smells I've never noticed before. Only saving grace is Guinness and JW Black are still doing the business (for now, touchwood!) Sounds a bit like how I felt when they changed our Irn-Bru. Getting food from the chippy has never been the same.
-
Got through the first week off the smokes. My sense of taste is starting to come back. Good god it's horrific. Is this really what coffee is supposed to taste like? How the fuck do people manage to live like this?
-
Aye that's my logic. Scam artist surely wouldn't play such a long game and pay over the odds for the sake of £300. Plus it was arguably still the weekend. There's a good-to-fair chance I'll get a phone delivered on Wednesday and wonder where the fuck it came from until I get round to checking my bank statement.

Aye that's shite, what a wanker. Good chance I've seen that chancing cunt on the soldering subreddit begging for advice. That place has replaced r/diwhy for me in recent years for pure comedy value. Im not religious or spiritual at all but sometimes like to imagine karma catches up with folk like that prick. In a fair and just world his 400°C soldering iron has since fell and landed on his testicles. Fighting returns claims as a seller on eBay (and Reverb) is usually futile though. I'm probably in a minority that most of the stuff I sell there is handmade and mainly attracts total anoraks (swear that's not a dig at @Gemmillor @sammynb) so I probably dont need to deal with the usual level of shithousery a lot of sellers do and I'm probably less jaded as a result. Edit: I'm already cringing at that "less jaded" remark less than an hour after posting it, fwiw. Right now Jaded might aswell be my middle name.

For buyers it's actually mostly fine, eBay generally always side with the buyer if there's any issues and it's probably no worse than Amazon in terms of counterfeit stiff. I've had to accept a return for a guitar pedal that the buyer said "didn't fit, clothes etc" (fuck knows where he was trying to put it). For sellers it probably depends what you sell, but it's not hard to get fucked over selling on there, even if you're well versed in their policies. I get messages all the time from other sellers on the eBay subreddit, all looking to exchange their "blocked buyer" lists. Funnily enough, I don't think I've ever blocked any buyers. People are fucking strange like but an overwhelming majority of folk aren't scam artists.
-
@Tom I was baffled by your buyer overpaying but Craig's explanation actually seems completely plausible. For returns though you're shit out of luck if they report it as "item not as described" or damaged. Would be surprised if it's a scam though, especially if they've been on eBay at least a few years and have good feedback. Like ewerk said, get photos of the serial number. Also get a photo of the IMEI (turn it on and dial *#06# it'll pop up on screen). Since they overpaid, you've now got a bit of leeway for partial refunds if they get in touch moaning that it has scratches or scuffs they couldn't see in the photos. Honestly man, if it's any reassurance, the overwhelming majority of ebayers I've dealt with have been completely sound.

Life pro tip: if you're ever looking through old photos and feel a bit disconnected from past memories, get one of those UV blacklight torches and point it at yer sofa. Wouldn't point one at a Travelodge mattress though.

Aye, could've had an assist but Humphrys made an absolute cunt of the finish. Last 30 seconds here: https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12786147/hearts-1-0-st-mirren-scottish-premiership-highlights

I thought for a second there that firing "docking waza" into Google might be a bit risky, but I can tell you and the results were unfortunately completely boring. Nothing pornographic at all.

Good patter tbf but right now they're still "Snoddy and Friends" as far as I'm concerned. This lad will have to seriously turn up for me to accept a "Kuol and the Gang" moniker for Hearts.

I did ask tbf, and for good reason.

Cheers, just googled it, is it some kind of suppository? I'm on the nicotine gum, something for the other end might be needed to take the bulk of the work off my overworked jaw.

Cheers. So far so good. Must be on hour 28 at this point (not that I'm counting). Fucking bizarre how often I find myself standing up and habitually walking towards the door to go for a smoke before remembering and just awkwardly pacing about for a few minutes before sitting back down. Cheers for the pointers. Might come back to that if I start really struggling. I particularly like point two, you had me at "Drink". Weirdly for a 20-30 a day guy who's barely ever thought of trying to quit in 20 years, so far it doesn't even feel like the actual stopping will be a massive struggle so far but I'll see how the next few days pan out. Looking forward to eventually finding out exactly how fucked I am.
-
Aye that's me. Time will tell if it was nicotine addiction or terminal disease. This could be the year I get fat. I'm more tha happy to draw up the book.

We've still got a back boiler that I think might be as old as me (36). I'm not going to say anything bad about it, since it's behaved itself this last year or so. Used to have fairly regular problems. It is however one of the main reasons I'm looking forward to finally get this hoise.move over the line, imagine it's really inefficient and costing us an absolute fortune.

Been smoking since I was 16 man so it is possible, but fair point! Hadn't really considered that. Doc did say it's massively uncommon for folk to develop emphysema so young. > Not saying it will be easy but it is/was enough to motivate me to get off the booze. Woah! Slow down! One thing at a time man. Ah I jest. Well done getting off the sauce!
