  1. I'd go down the route of befriending somebody in assisted living who also happens to get a new car every 3 years under the mobility scheme. it's always worked for me.
  2. I do have some empathy with LTA here, it can be a long and lonely road at times sticking up for your favourite player. I'd stick up for craig bellamy in the face of great adversity, come what may, although in fairness to me the obnoxious welsh fucker was a million times the player maxi is!
  3. match thread? step up to the plate mate, we don't @Gemmill setting us off on an indifferent or losing start.
  4. aye, I've come to suspect that might be the issue......
  5. it's no laughing matter I'm running out of newcastle pubs to register as.
  6. do you ever post? I was registered on there as 'theolivegrove' never posted once but I was able to view parsnip. then without warning I suddenly didn't have enough privilege to view it anymore. dunno if the mods suspected I might be behind the deluded world of rtg twitter account or something (which I'm not) so I re-registered again as 'thepercy' and they immediately banned me for 30 days! the fucking paranoid loons! makes me a bit sad I can't see their never ending decline in to madness anymore though!
  7. aye. never fear though, there'll be a mackem equivalent of aupa alaves stinking out the streets of rotterdam who'll be along very soon to correct feyenoord on their entire footballing history. lucky them!
  8. aye, I made the last bit up. well apart from bohemian rhapsody being shit!
  9. I'm not sure I'd put 'geordie's lost his liggie' in the metal genre to be honest! did you listen to it? it's a version of the folk song 'geordie's lost his penka' a geordie folk song of unknown origin, or so says wiki. however it's widely recognised that when it speeds up at the end for the last few seconds was what inspired queen to do the same when they wrote their abysmal dirge 'bohemian rhapsody' a couple of years later. it remains one of the greatest travesties of the musical world that mercury and his mates scored a huge hit despite the blatant plagiarism.
  10. we had this 45rpm classic spinning on the record player in our house..... as well as this timeless masterpiece..... @Renton hang your head in shame, these boys were and remain legends.
  11. there's page after page of shite like that, not only in the champions league thread but also in the ones devoted to man city and us. basically if liverpool don't win whatever competition they're involved in then it's just not fair and shouldn't count. boo hoo. their application of the asterisk system makes the mackem's look very conservative.
  12. https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=354000.3280 page after page of staggering arrogance and self entitlement. to save you the bother they honestly believe that unless they win it the competition has no relevance, to the point where one fucker even takes offence to other teams playing well against them. hate these cunts with a passion, would love to see everton dominate them for decades and I hate those cunts too.
  13. happy for the blue mancs. even happier it'll have the cunts from salford and red dipper land suicidal.
  14. hadn't even heard one of his songs till a couple of years ago. me son kept banging on about him saying he was really good so I downloaded his 2 albums. first one's excellent I reckon, not as keen on the 2nd though, but its not bad. on the strength of the first album I joined the mailing list for presale tickets and then completely forgot about it ro the extent I missed out not only on last night but the announcement of a second night and those tickets selling out too! had a pre match pint in the percy before the man utd game with fender's uncle and tried blagging a couple of tickets off him, not a fucking chance, I suspect I wasn't the first person to ask him either! anyway, bizarre the mackems hatred of him, bit warped in actual fact. I liked the angelic upstarts as a kid it mattered not that mensi was a mlf. stupid cunts.
  15. fucking bilbao thing is beyond tragic mind, reminds me of the helen shapiro classic of unrequited love.....
  16. it should be a rule that that you can't write the word alabama without hoying up a picture of patricia.....
  17. aye. it's astonishing really that anybody living about 4 mile from newcastle city centre, got dragged along shopping with their mother in newcastle, whose old man took them to watch football in newcastle and who went out drinking, eating and socialising in newcastle, would choose to support anybody other than sunderland. cunts.
  18. lad at the start of that video is a sunniside lad nickname rabbit. known him donkey's years. me and him travelled all over the country together in his gold mk1 golf, very early 80s and throughout the keegan (player) promotion season. top bloke!
  19. well apart from a mike ashley owned one.
  20. sunday 28th may, glorious sunshine, west end of fancy london town, 3000 partying geordies, gordon opens his account with an absolute belter. no one there will forget it.
  21. erm, if you've got access to lots of channels shall we say, I thoroughly recommend 'sisu'. a finnish movie set in lapland at the end of the second world War about a prospector who has gold stolen by nazis and single handedly wreaks havoc getting it back, fucking brutal stuff, best movie I've watched for a while!
  22. just a footnote to anybody who was remotely interested to my goshawk nest story a couple of weeks ago.... because its a schedule one protected bird and as they've been doing forestry work with a tree harvester in the woodland where the nest is I contacted an organisation called the gloucestershire raptor monitoring group who were delighted with my find and arranged to meet me and show them the nest. the company doing the forestry work were ordered to stop any further work until the chicks fledge and in future no work can be done within the vicinity as the goshawks are likely to return to same nest next year. yesterday evening I was invited out by an ecologist to see the chicks being ringed and recorded. was a privilege to see these incredible birds so close and hold them, fantastic experience. my babies.......
  23. think I bumped in to the aftermath of them closing weatherspoons on puntney bridge itself. couple of hundred very loud and very, very pissed newcastle supporters headed to the tube station as I was on me way to the square for a more genteel pimps and lemonade with lashings of fresh fruit outside the boathouse. we must've been neighbours, shame I missed you. always found finsbury park worse than fulham broadway for an away day pint.
