quite liked this reply on that thread, reasoned, considered and accurate. in fairness it's also probably the opinion of the more level headed mackems, doubt it's gone down well with dribbling hordes on rtg though....

im pleased you're all revelling in this victory. things aren't too good down here in the nam though, mrs tbd, a tin miner from redruth who would never have dreamed of betting on newcastle to beat sunderland 3-0 till she had the good fortune to meet me, is steadfastly refusing to share her £240 winnings. tarnished things for me a bit.

might be worth giving safc a call and suggesting they put a 1955 fa cup shirt on the bob stokoe statue. you never know, they might go for it.

I remember vividly being amazed at the spending spree mcfaul was being allowed to go on following the gascoigne sale. didn't take long to come back down to earth mind with a 4-0 humping away gemmill's 2nd team on the first day of the season. rarely got much better. -

I was in the very back row of the upper tier of the gallowgate yesterday. I shuffled me way along to my seat about 30 seconds before kick off only to find there was somebody occupying the space of my seat. bloke there (mid 30s) announced the seat i had was the only one in the entire row which was not owned by a season ticket holder. his was the empty seat next to it and would i mind having that one so he could stand next to his mate? no problem. not sure if the fucker was having a slight dig that I wasn't a season ticket holder or not but I couldn't get much more than a grunt out the cunt to any comment I made about the match. fair enough. before it was announced how much stoppage time was to be added I was literally the only person left in the back row of block t, by the time the final whistle was blown I was one of only several left in the entire section. our support on the whole was shite yesterday, but it extends way beyond the jonny come latelys. -
aye, I noticed that too. hundreds of empty seats in the upper tier at goodison too according to my disabled chauffeur. although in fairness he can't count very well since his stroke.

another month of defeats and the club might allow members to enter ballots for aways. mind you, I doubt it, there's been several aways already where it's reached zero points and members who have points have still been excluded from purchasing. something n.u.s.t. seem to completely overlook in their surveys etc.

@PaddockLad .... couple of spare paper anfield tickets up for grabs on some facebook page my travel mate uses yesterday, gone by the time he tried to contact him though. is the id/policing/threat of punishment of away tickets easing up a bit? I got ballot tickets in the gallowgate yesterday and was chatting to my main donor for aways last season at half time. shot me down in flames when I suggested he needs to start coming up trumps again. weddell and co. have definitely put the fear of living god in to him.
