  1. stunning album, perfect for sunny lockdown afternoons in the garden with a naughty cigarette and a cold thatchers. ......
  2. both the hallucinogen albums were good, twisted and lone deranger. posford had his finger in a load of pies during the early days psy/goa trance. well worth a listen to is hallucinogen in dub, remixed by OTT. psy girls were by far the minxiest of the party chicks, although I'd concede you were less likely to get hair wildlife with the drum&bass girls than you were with hippy hugs!
  3. right then, just to keep this relatively on topic for a minute... ozora festival in hungary is unlikely to go ahead due to coronavirus. the legendary boom festival in portugal has already been cancelled. so in these days of death, misery and lockdowns a reminder to all of us ageing psytrance crusties of what used to be. and Alex, this what you missed out on, the most stunning party girls in the world!
  4. took a lot longer for me to grow up! was driving down to hungary every summer till 2012 to ozora festival. do you know that one? packed it in 2012 because about 500 hungarian police turned up after finally noticing that 50,000 psytrance crusties (@Alex) from all over the world were turning up in the middle of nowhere 100 miles south west of budapest and openly taking enough psychedelics to sink a battleship! ah, the heady of the not so youthful. wonder when folk will get the opportunity again?
  5. aye. we had sun readers keep thatcher in power for 11 years. nowt changes, the majority of people are as thick as fucking pig shit.
  6. quite weird reflecting on that era, personally alternated between a saturday afternoon yob, a militant and then a summertime festival hippie! some of the original travellers I got to know and who were at the beanfield are still about and on the road, mostly horse drawn vehicles now and tend to crop stll with their own fields at festivals in the midlands/southwest. doubt that they'll get the opportunity this summer.
  7. I always thought probably one of the most shocking distortions of the truth during the thatcher era as well as the probably the most disturbing acts of police brutality was to the peace convoy near stonehenge in 85. the hippies were portrayed as being outlaws armed with firebombs. they were fucking families living in buses! largely lost in time now amongst hillsborough and orgreave but a national scandal nonetheless, I think it was the fledgling channel 4 news footage which was mysteriously 'lost' for years.....
  8. alok sharma illustrating perfectly that he's an utter cunt.
  9. fuck off man. the manufacturing company I work for claims to be 'mission critical' it makes components for gas and oil drilling and the odd few parts for the M.O.D. it's insisted to the workforce it's an essential service and therefore 90 blokes have to continue to handle lumps of stainless steel and have done since the lockdown. they've already trying to pressurise folk to give up their good fridays and easter mondays to carry on working in a factory. the reality is the only thing mission critical to the company i work for is the end of month targets and the greed of the shareholders. fuck the health of the workers and their families. the reason this virus will continue to kill is because people are being used as cannon fodder for the economy and told to keep away from wide open spaces.
  10. probably all supping post gold cup in the hollow bottom in guitting power. it's what tories do.
  11. whickham lad though I think he moved to blaydon. majority of his mates were (and presumably still are) newcastle supporters, used to pop up at the bodega for a pint occasionally if our and their games didn't clash. never seen him for years till the end of that episode. always seemed canny enough to me, not so to you it would seem!
  12. precisely this. gloucetershire constabulary are using quadbikes to hassle people walking their dogs in the middle of nowhere, telling folk they shouldn't be driving to exercise, which they have no power to do. I drive 4 mile to where I've been walking my d9g for the last 10 years, I don't stop on the way there and once I arrive I hardly see a living soul and if I do I can avoid them by hundreds of yards. the alternative is a local cycle path which runs through and round cheltenham and which will be being used by hundreds. the same fucking town and those who run it who colluded in welcoming the best part of a quarter of a million people here a fortnight ago. logic appears to have gone out the window.
  13. it's bizarre, google seems to imply clemmy as being a hartlepool/north yorkshire word although there is reference to it in a northern echo article. seems it made its way fleetingly to a tiny part of whickham/sunniside area half a century ago!
  14. clemmy? seen the answer above by the way, was just thinking I remember using the word clemmy as a kid, but google throws up surprisingly few answers for it! maybe hoying clemmies is something I imagined?
  15. 5 fencehouses 6 chopwell 7 fatfields 9 silksworth
  16. just catching up here and only just seen johnson's video from his poorly place in downing street. I'm a bit bemused as to what constitutes a persistent cough? as boris apparently has one he doesn't cough once in his blog. is that normal for a persistent cough?
  17. ahh mikey's saying he's sorry, bless him. we all know how sincere those apologies are. hope the lying fat cunt falls in to a skip full of dirty syringe needles.
  18. pep guardiola donating a million of his own money to help spain's fight against the virus... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52028743 meanwhile ashley doubles the price of online skipping ropes after being forced to make a u turn on keeping his tat shops open.
  19. has put up the online price of skipping ropes, resistance belts etc by 50% in the last hour or so apparently. hope the cunt falls in to a skip full of razor wire.
  20. in fairness he doesn't really need trump's money since ashley gave him a £40m contribution for nowt.
  21. for the love of god don't post any links to conchita wurst.
