I'm hoping he's got a new striker friend before that. but aye a new left back would be nice too. anyway, welcome to the mad house kieran lad. -
I really like bristol i do. cracking diverse city, fantastic night out (although I'd concede I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for them these days) and includes amongst its inhabitants an extraordinary amount of foxy hippie dreadlocked chicks, which I have a bit of a penchant for. it's stating the obvious that juries should convict on the evidence before them, however just occasionally a court case crops up whereby you'd love to be on the jury and acquit a defendant you knew full well was guilty. the colston case being one. I have personal experience of judge peter blair, he's a cunt. he won't have liked this going down in his courts, never mind a case he sat on, no siree. and poor priti must be spitting feathers. all in all, very amusing. https://www.theguardian.com/global/2022/jan/05/did-priti-patel-cross-a-line-in-urging-pursuit-of-the-colston-four

so, stopped practically on the beach at alnmouth last night in the van. lush but by god did it hammer down all night. lovely dog walk this morning along to boulmer and back. set off at lunchtime homeward bound and got midway between durham and darlington on the a1 and the battery light comes on. crawls under the van and quickly works out that the alternator belt tensioner pulley's collapsed. £30 part I could fit meself in half an hour. but no, everwhere's shut. towed off the a1 to scotch corner services. aa bloke hasn't got the part and reckons the tow truck won't arrive to pick us up and take us to cheltenham till 7pm so we're expecting to see the new year in probably in the back of a recovery vehicle on the m5 just south of birmingham! on the plus side, there's a mackem in the next bay where dead vehicles live at scotch corner services with a quite admittedly nice vw transporter but with a fucked driveshaft. just been telling me everything's set up sundlund for them to take off and they've got more supporters than man utd. the bloke's inadvertently cheered me up no end! a happy and prosperous new year to you all!

the transformation of the joelinton I watched under bruce against tottenham to the one I watched last night just over 2 months later is nothing short of fucking astonishing. I have nothing other than the utmost respect for both howe and the lad himself for achieving this.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59797335 wimbledon complaining to efl with very valid points. clearly being manipulated in the pl by some clubs as far as I'm concerned. -
up for this one tomorrow, negative lft in hand.. half expected it being re-arranged but then it would appear we're the only team in the league expected to fulfill our fixtures at the moment despite probably being the one who could most do with having had some postponements till we could buy a defence and a goal scorer! anyway, 3rd game for me this season, the previous 2 being a loss and a draw. so I'm somewhat foolishly gonna predict my upward progression to continue and plump for a win. not sure how that'll happen mind, but you never know!

a belated merry christmas to you all, hope you all managed as good a one as you could under the circumstances.

in fairness to wraith he's got a really, really good singing voice on him. surprised to be honest he wasn't approached to replace pavarotti. -
a valiant effort, however christmas tree has nothing to fear just yet.

bit of the green eyed monster creeping in to that post I suspect. I like diego, I also bet he knows loads of foxy latina chicks.

just a footnote... was really rather good and worth catching up on. called reel stories. I saw the police at the mayfair ballrooms when I was a kid in about '78, they were supported by the cramps who I thought blew them away on the night. their following then was all the punks who hung around outside listen ear record shop near the city hall. by the time they made it big I'd lost interest in them although I'd concede they made some catchy pop records. most of all though I'd decided sting was a bit of a twat who'd sold out on his roots. anyway, came across quite personable and a thoroughly enjoyable 45 minute watch, if you get the time. edit.... he never mentioned the mackems once!
