  1. Was he shite when scored against Wolves and started the game? And again if your metric is shite, you have to have a dulux colour chart of shite given how low the bar is set for being worth a start in the team. And the argument was whether he's a better shout than Joelinton and Ritchie given our current injuries, and on tonight's showing he put forward a pretty compelling argument for himself.
  2. Because Bruce is a shite manager, hows that. He'd rather player Joelinton because he can run and is a big lad. But I mean why should I take your opinion seriously anyway when you didn't have a clue that Murphy was literally one of if not Sheffield Wednesday's best player's last season. Oh and Almiron should start ahead of Murphy all day everyday, but he's injured so that's not the argument is it.
  3. Ritchie's legs are clearly gone. What use is a player who used to be decent exactly? Oh and Murphy played 39 games for Sheffield Wednesday last season scoring 9 and setting up six playing from full back mostly, so you're also talking out of your arse about that. If Murphy got a decent run in the side he'd easily do better than current Ritchie, but that's not something that can easily be proven obviously.
  4. 🤣 Yeah, he practically put it in row z from two yards, fucking useless. If it was a top six attacking player in that position it's likely in the back of the net, but we don't have top six quality attacking players, apart from maybe Wilson and ASM. Murphy is the best of a bad bunch, given injuries, which is my point entirely. Your only answer for an alternative was Ritchie, which is fucking ridiculous given he's shown no form whatsoever this season, and Murphy has clearly progressed, if only a little, and has shown some form when on.
  5. 😂 Yeah, it was a tap in that was put on a plate for him alright, as opposed to him making the chance himself. Time to get to specsavers mate. The team is shite, made worse by Bruce, me saying that Murphy is worth a place, and played comparatively very well when compared to his team mates, has to be seen on that metric. Not in a million years would Ritchie have come on and put on that performance for us, that's the point. The fact is that he came on and nearly scored and set up the equaliser, which clearly blows out your estimation of his worth before he came on.
  6. So by those metrics you must think that Murphy was the second best player on the pitch for us?
  7. Yes Captain semantic, but it's also the correct opinion. Or did I miss another player who very nearly scored a screamer and got an assist?
  8. Ah, the vague non response, response. 😄 The facts are that Murphy had the most quality of any of our players tonight when he came on, or do you not comprehend that?
  9. I understand the feeling that you'd rather we lost badly to get rid of Bruce and I'd normally agree, but Ashley doesn't look like sacking him even if we're relegated. If we're going to even scrape to safety every point counts, and scoring a late equaliser after such a cuntish own goal will hopefully have given some of the players a much needed lift. I said before this game and Brighton that we needed at least four points, so we just have to hope that Brighton are their usual wasteful selves, and that one flies in off Big Joe's arse next week.
  10. Are you actually a Newcastle fan? You seem more preoccupied with slagging a player so you don't look foolish for writing them off.
  11. 🤣 Which is more than Big Joe has looked like doing, or Ritchie when he's been given the chance. Nearly scores straight away, oh but he he hit the post like 😉
  12. Sorry mate but you're talking out of your arse if you think Ritchie has shown more than Murphy this season. At least Murphy has a goal and assist playing from right wing back when he's actually got a run out, and was one of the few who looked decent, apart from ASM and Almiron, in our very short cup runs. Ritchie's career at premier league level has been done for a while. And all this isn't to say that I think Murphy anything more than very average, but compared to Ritchie and Joelinton he'd be getting in my team.
  13. 😂 Yeah Ritchie has been a world beater lately all right, but it's my credibility that's shot. Murphy has looked like he can actually run and effect that game when he's been on. Ritchie on the other hand has to put in about 100 shite crosses for one good one, and hasn't looked like scoring in about two seasons. In fairness he was switched to wing back for a while.
  14. Who else are you playing out wide with the injuries we have? I'd rather we had Ziyech off Chelsea to stick out the right, but its not happening is it. It pretty much is down to either Joe or Murphy.
  15. Murphy has been comparatively good, when compared to other players in the squad, when he's been given the chance this season, and a damn sight better than he used to be before he went on loan. He certainly offers more than Joelinton, or are you saying you'd rather Joelinton to start over Murphy?
  16. I was about to give faint praise to Joelinton and point out that his ball retention and hold up play is actually decent, he looks very awkward to get the ball off. That of course was before those two diabolical missed opportunities to pass when people were on. Our only hope is to ask the wizard for a footballing brain for Joelinton.
  17. I know people are struggling to care, which I entirely understand, but here's my team for the craic. Dubravka Manquillo Lascelles Fernandez Dummett Hayden M, Longstaff Murphy Willock Fraser Gayle I'd give Anderson a good half an hour or so in place of Willock if he isn't on it. Of course Bruce will play Shelvey and Joelinton and they will likely do their usual charade of effort.
  18. A point maybe if Grealish isn't back, which he probably will be.
  19. Joelinton didn't hit it cleanly you say, well that's a collector's item isn't it.
  20. I fall into a genuine sense of extreme confusion when I try to figure out who's going to score from that line up.
  21. True, but even Shelvey has about 4, or 5 decent games a season. In fairness against Wolves while he was generally pretty poor he did make two very important last ditch tackles. But again I agree that he's generally been very poor and should be sold at the next possible opportunity. I'd bring the Longstaff's back in, in the absence of anything better, but Bruce seems to have some weird slight against them, probably because he's a naturalised mackem twat.
  22. Leicester doing us a favour, so that's all the teams below us and the one above us having lost their last game. We have to capitalise and then use our game in hand advantage, it's as simple and difficult as that with who we have running the club. It's there for us, and we'll just have to see if cabbage head has inadvertently united all the players together in opposition to him thereby they produce a spirited performance against West Brom, or whether he's just took a dump in the cornflakes box by blaming the players for all his mistakes.
  23. The association that make decisions over South American international fixtures has postponed the upcoming World Cup qualifiers that would have involved Paraguay, and subsequently Almiron. So that's a bit of good news at least. Having Almiron perhaps just fit, or half fit, heading off to South America to perhaps get injured, catch Covid, and then have to quarantine for 10 days after he returned regardless, would have been a nightmare.
  24. Osmosis is a euphemism for when you break out your footy pyjamas, tea, biscuits and really take in a show isn't it?
  25. 😄 Hopefully it's that and not some vapid soap or reality show that I've absorbed by osmosis.
