Someone on twitter was saying that Spurs get 30m per year, and Citeh get 65m, so I think something between 35 and 45m pr would be more than fair. If we qualify for the CL again this year we can push for the higher end of that no problem. Well I say that, but obviously common sense and the way they calculate "fair market value" could be two very different things. Fair market value is largely just a euphemism for what money you're allowed if you are or aren't one of the "legacy/top six" clubs.

In terms of quality they won't be worse, and more importantly we'll get massive increase in money from them compared to Castore. I'd also imagine you get the shirt design you deserve, as in if you don't collaborate and just leave it to them they won't pull any trees up for you. The people that run the club, if true to form, will be all over every detail given how keen they are to build the brand, and increase the revenue, of the club.

Don't know if it's been posted on another thread, but supposedly on one of the episodes it's revealed that Adidas will be making our shirts from next season on. Great fucking news if true.

Fuck. Hopefully Bruno hasn't followed his mates suit. With betting it has to be the thrill or is a full on addiction for these lads. I can't imagine getting paid tens of thousands per week and then feeling the need to put bets on. Although it's quite counter intuitive as well, I think it's far more understandable that someone who's skint or close to it wants take a chance on making some money. As for the Greenwood situation, what makes it even more disturbing is that it's not even a case of them spunking 60-100m on a player and not wanting to lose that value. Don't get me wrong, the only morally right move would be to move a player on even if he did cost that, but the point is that Man U have an academy player that want to keep, and it's likely partly down to them not wanting to pay money for a new forward. -

They're supposedly after Cheick Doucoure off Palace, so obviously he is a more defensive minded player than perhaps Endo, who's more a defence minded 8 as some have suggested.
-
And? Plenty of players come in and do we'll straight away, Tonali being a prime example, albeit it's only one game, or at least don't take that long to settle. It doesn't always take a long time for players to acclimatise. Whether he'll be one of the players that don't need a lot of time to settle, only time will tell.
-
I'm not making a direct comparison or saying he'll have even half the influence, but Trippier shows what a quality addition with experience can do for a team. Him being 30 could be an advantage as I've said given how much experience and leadership they sold this summer. But we'll see. I've stuck my neck out now, and only time will tell if I'm right or wrong.

I reckon this Japanese player Endo might surprise a few people. He's getting unfairly derided on twitter by way of comparison to who they were after, but he might end up some very smart business. They needed some experience and leadership in their team after Milner, Henderson etc left, and he gives them that. I'd still be very wary of Liverpool. Their attack is still unquestionably scary, and if the sex register signer can bed in Endo, and perhaps Doucoure, into their midfield they could add some solidity through the middle, and not be so easily played through.

Just thinking about it and we've only spent 130m when you take into account that Hall is loan to buy. When you look at the quality and longevity we've bought given their ages, it pisses all over pretty much every other clubs window. And we've made roughly 40m on the ASM and Wood sales. So it's 90m net.
-
I still reckon we'll move if something interesting in the loan market appears, or we manage to get rid of most of the dead wood. We still have two full weeks until it closes. Either way it will be nice to be relaxed given how well Ashworth and Eddie have done. Who's had a better window? Chelsea have spent more, but do they have a clear plan. Everything Ashworth and Eddie do seems to be planned for the present and well into the future.

She seems like a nice sensible girl. If she's happy he'll be happy, so long may it continue.

Anyone else feel like giving Ashworth a hug. "As for Dan Ashworth, it’s thought our sporting director has also played a key role and benefitted from his pre-existing relationship with Paul Winstanley; Chelsea’s head of global talent and transfers. The pair worked together at Brighton – where Winstanley worked as their head of recruitment – and it’s believed both have played central roles during negotiations over the past week. Not only that, Ashworth is well aware of Hall’s capabilities and, like Howe, is a huge admirer of the England youth international, whose represented the Young Lions at U15, U16, U18 and U19 level."

Callum Wilson on Chelsea's spending spree: "How many midfielders do they want? Let’s put this into context. Caicedo, I have not really seen much of him in midfield. We played against Brighton and he played at right-back against us. But for the price that he’s cost, you could get Tonali AND Guimaraes AND me!" -
The amount of people who don't know what obligation to buy is on twitter is depressing.
-
Maybe they're just repeating what the other journalist has said, but you'd think they'd do their own checking before reporting.
-
Chicken Nonce is going on the lash tonight if this is accurate 😂 Anyway who gives a fuck as long as Hall is on his way and will officially become our player eventually. And what a fucking deal to pull off, as I said the other day when speculating that we might do a loan to buy. Ashworth and co have obviously managed to take advantage of Chelsea's desperation to keep their books from disintegrating under the weight of their spending.
-
Yes but Chicken too shite could say, look, I told you they couldn't afford 30m which is why they had to do a loan to buy deal. In any case Edwards has already been ridiculously off the mark on our overall budget, and obviously he was the one who said Barella was pretty much done and dusted.
-
If it turns out to be a loan with an obligation he'll be insufferable, after all the stick I'm sure he's currently getting. But as people have been saying multiple sources have quoted a transfer fee and haven't mentioned loan to buy being part of it. There was all that talk of us having to be clever given a lack of funds though. Maybe that was just Ashworth and Howe pleading poverty as a negotiating tactic.
-
Apparently the Chicken Nonce video for the BBC was literally this morning, just before the news of the bid broke on Sky Sports News 😂
-
Chicken nonce strikes again 😂Finger on the pulse this guy. Shame that we've bid 30m and it's almost done.

There's rumours that Fraser might head up to Celtic. Or at least there was unless that collapsed.
