  1. A few months of seeing Prince Andrew's ex Stavley in the stand, with her slightly too wide apart eyes, will soon make you forget where the money is coming from. Although it may just remind you of Epstein which is hardly ideal. They'll likely try to mention the Crown Prince as little as possible for obvious PR reasons, not as if we see the Citeh owners much. Not that anything should be taken for granted given how many times we've been here before and how poor a seller, and a massive bell-end, Ashley is.
  2. Yep, but the Crown Prince seems a lot more credible than the Man City owners fifth cousin. I'll be very surprised if it happens as well, and a little disturbed at the prospect, but we can only take things at face value as they come, if they come from what are supposed to be credible sources.
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/26/saudi-340m-takeover-newcastle-leak-threatens-deal In fairness the Guardian are pretty reliable for sport, so that 90% sure it's going to happen line is at least mildly interesting. Although it does seem that it's more if not exclusively from the Saudi side that people are that confident, if you read between the lines. Ashley is nothing if not a fucking mystery to some people, so they could get a rude awakening.
  4. I'm not saying he's perfect but in comparison to Joelinton he was fucking top class today. Oxford were glad to see him go off. I can't see them thinking the same about Joelinton. In terms of potential, with ASM still only 22, there's also no contest on current evidence.
  5. What are you on mate. He was the only one who looked likely to do something positive, and would have had a great goal only for some good goalkeeping. Joelinton's only contribution was to finish when the whistle had gone, otherwise he skied it like the chance near the end.
  6. Joelinton is honestly worse than Joselu and maybe even Riviere. It will be a miracle if he turns out to be even half decent.
  7. Joelinton's not even league one standard on this showing.
  8. What the fuck has happened to Sean Longstaff. He can barely pass the ball ten yards this season let alone the range of passing and composure he was showing under Rafa.
  9. ASM showing his class against league one defenders. That would have been some goal.
  10. So a murderous, theocratic dictator investor fronted by Stavley who's Prince Andrew's ex girlfriend. We might need to get Max Clifford on this lads to smooth out the edges a little... oh shit he's dead isn't he
  11. I'm not so sure his opinion on Pre-Raphaelite art for example would be quite as well reasoned and knowledgeable though.
  12. The answer to that is infinitely fucking better in every way than some southern English twat
  13. The quality of football analysis on here is incredible
  14. Was just watching the interview with Lazaro on NUFCTV. It showed Lejeune's second goal where he got clattered by Calvert-Lewin in the process. I hadn't seen a replay, the dirty bastard should be given a retrospective straight red.
  15. In fairness I did say point, but I take yours. In all seriousness though we might have been shite going forward against Chelsea but we were at least solid at the back. Lascelles in particular had a shocker at the back tonight. So to summarise, we were shite at the back and going forward, for the vast majority of the match, but still nicked a point.
  16. We can only hope that Bruce doesn't get caught performing the pre match human sacrifices before the end of the season. I honestly can't remember the last time we've played so shite only to nick a point. I'd be absolutely sickened if I was an Everton supporter, and I'd be very upset about this result as well
  17. Matty Longstaff is having mare. If he doesn't stop giving away possession in dangerous areas he needs hooked.
  18. Well I did add that caveat that it is just youtube, but you can at least judge if a player can run in a straight line quite fast, or if they're capable of passing a ball. The problem comes if they can't or won't do those things consistently. In any case the word from people who've seen him play, spurs fans etc, is that he does have a lot of potential. Whether his head's right is another story.
  19. Again it has to be said youtube isn't the most accurate gauge of player given it's a literal highlight reel, but Bentaleb has a great left foot on him. He definitely isn't a simple defensive mid with the range of passing he seems capable of.
  20. He was playing more defensive for Spurs but apparently he switched to more of a box to box player for Schalke. He does look very mobile in fairness from what I've seen on youtube. Youtube obviously isn't the best indicator, but it at least gives you an idea of how athletic a player is.
  21. I have to admit that I don't recall how good or bad Bentaleb was for Spurs. My brother in law is a Spurs fan, but I wouldn't trust his opinion on owt. Seems like he has a bit of talent but his attitude is in question. He could be decent for a loan or he could be another Doumbia. If this is the mystery transfer it's more than a little anticlimactic.
  22. Anyone where the highlights are being shown. I know there's still two matches tomorrow night so logically it should be late tomorrow night, but I don't see it scheduled on either BBC or ITV. I suppose I'll be able to find something on Youtube after.
  23. I'm happy to see Almiron proving me wrong. I was extremely sceptical as to whether he had the requisite temperament to take chances at the top level, but it appears that he did just need to get off the mark.
  24. Of course if was a bloody mistake, the question is why would a very good player make what isn't even a school boy error because they know better. So no it wasn't a simple mistake, it was literally one of the worst things you can do in your own half. And if you don't get why a player wouldn't be like, hey boss you know how you've incompetently played me too much after a major injury? Well I'm knackered in mind and body and want off even though I'm not actually injured and you have fuck all on the bench to replace me with, then I can't help you. And lastly, kicking the ball across your own box has fuck all to do with cowardice.
  25. The problem is that if you listen to other Manure players from him time there, he'd literally play with a pulled hamstring the thick c*nt that he is. So he's likely as sympathetic to the injuries the players he coaches get.
