  1. It's just as well we've shown so much fight and spirit after Fulham's result, or I'd be pissing my nickers about the prospect of relegation about now.
  2. No need to worry. Tuchel is well aware of how nice a guy Bruce is, so he'll definitely go easy and not go for the win. Stranger things have happened than us getting a result at Chelsea, but with Wilson injured it does seem a lot less probable. Fulham could very easily be only a couple of points behind us in a weeks time given the next couple of fixtures for both teams. Our best hope is likely that Gayle goes on a mini goal scoring run like he did last season, so heaven help us. The next best hope is that Almiron and ASM completely play out of their skins in every match until the end of the season, but again they need someone to get on the end of their good work most of the time.
  3. Hayden earned his wages. Thought he was brilliant today filling in at centre half again. Hopefully now that the waste of space that is Hendrick is suspended for a game, we can get Willock and Hayden into a midfield partnership with ASM, Almiron and Fraser ahead of them, and please god Wilson, who I hope isn't too badly injured, ahead of them. That's a very decent midfield and attack to be working with, so Bruce will likely persist with Shelvey. As for defence Clark and Dummett can slot into those centre back roles, so we shouldn't be too badly off, although we'll certainly be missing a bit of pace in that department. The one thing you can say about the team is that they are still fighting on the evidence of that last twenty minutes, and we'll need at least that if we are to get anything out of the next two games.
  4. What's the chances that Bruce threw his toys out of the pram this week at the suggestion that Jones had a big influence on the Everton result, and that's partly to blame for the backslide. Tin foil hat time I know given the lack of any evidence, but it really wouldn't surprise me.
  5. You know things are bad when you're hoping that a third or fourth choice Arsenal attacking mid if going to play out of his skin for you. Obviously he can't be any worse than Hendrick, but given that fact Bruce will probably play Hendrick week in week out for the rest of the season. I'm wont to agreeing with Steve McManaman, but he was 100% right that our midfielders need to receive the ball higher up the pitch, and our centre backs need to take some responsibility and play out. If only we had another centre half like Schar who's comfortable on the ball, like that fella who plays in Spain, Lejeune.
  6. Zaha is such a moany twat. Fair enough an injury is frustrating, but you don't have to act like a fucking baby about it.
  7. Nothing peculiar about that. Bruce has obviously ordered him to get a better view of how the boys are adapting to the new formation and tactics, that Bruce has been working on for 18 months, and have only just bore fruit 😐
  8. I'm always wary of Zaha deciding to bother his arse when it comes to Palace, so lets hope he's in one of his huffy moods. It's perhaps a bit simplistic to think that ASM possibly starting will push us over the line, but the rest of the players do seem to get a visible lift when he plays. I suppose when you've very little ideas going forward it's a relief to have ASM who can run half the pitch from a simple pass. There's points to be had for us in the next two fixtures, so hopefully we can build a bit of steam off the back of the Everton performance. It could very easily turn into a turgid affair, and not even be mostly our fault given we're up against Woy's boys. I think we'll win whether it's tight or we carry over the intensity from Everton and it's comfortable.
  9. From what little I've seen Willock is a definite improvement on what we've got in central midfield, at least from an attacking sense, not that it would be a challenge at present. He seems to have that natural timing of arriving in the box at the right time. Of course I won't piss my knickers over him too much until I see him play some minutes for us.
  10. Looks like Willock is all but confirmed. Reiss Nelson his best mate in the Arsenal squad sent him a message on social media wishing him the best with his move, and Sky are reporting it done. At the very least he'll be a very decent addition to the squad, and most likely he will be given plenty of opportunities to start given how little energy and attacking threat we currently have in midfield. I haven't watched Arsenal in Europe this season, but Willock's stats would appear to suggest he has a bit of quality about him.
  11. So a back four, a diamond in midfield, real attacking intent, shots on goal, and a visibly much more motivated and organised team. Surely this improved performance coinciding with the new coach Jones coming in is just a coincidence, and this is what Brucie has been working towards for weeks, months, almost two years? I mean it couldn't be that a championship level coach can come in and show up Brucie in a mere few days and demonstrate that we actually have some decent players 😉 The one bit of genuine praise I can give Bruce is that if it was his decision to bring in Jones, at this admittedly very early stage, it appears to be the correct one.
  12. Why aye, His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy There's vomit on his sweater already, mam's stottie He's nervous, but on the surface he looks like he's cacking it, and ready, To drop Joelinton, but he keeps on forgettin'
  13. You wonder does he realise that he's being recorded half the time, or is he really that thick that he can't pick up that he's constantly making excuses.
  14. I'm in that mood that I don't know whether to be happy we showed a bit of effort in the second half or disappointed. Happy because maybe we will start gaining some points and get safe, or disappointed because we still lost and will likely continue to lose more than we win with Bruce in charge, until it's too late to change anything to stop us going down.
  15. Dare I say it, there has been a response. Of course Bruce should still be thrown in the compost heap. A somewhat spirited loss is still a loss, if that's how this match turns out.
  16. Normal service resumed. Great goal in fairness. This where we see if the players truly have stopped playing for cabbage. If they are still playing for them there will be a response, if not Leeds will likely score another two or three.
  17. Even the way Shelvey walks up to take a corner pisses me off. You'd think he was playing a fucking kick about with his mates, as opposed to a downward spiral in the premier league, such is the lack of urgency in his body language. Mind you one thing is for certain, it doesn't matter who the manger is, Shelvey will still be a moody, useless bastard.
  18. I have a few suggestions if they want to make the fake crowd noise at St. James more realistic. They may or may not be related to round vegetables, excrement, and general ineptitude. The worst thing about his match is that knowing Ashley we'll have to wait at least another few matches of shite before he finally gives Cabbage the boot.
  19. Bruce : “Over this period, we’ve had illness, more importantly than anything, and injuries.” He told the Newcastle Chronicle. “Even tomorrow, we’ve got three centre backs out. “It’s not just a defender, a midfielder and a forward player – all our injuries tomorrow are in a certain position. “We’ve been a bit unfortunate in that respect, but as I said I never look for excuses like that because it’s part and parcel of it.” Fucking hell, what a cunt he is. Makes every excuse in the book in almost every interview he does, and then at the end says he never looks for excuses, and this isn't the first time he's said he doesn't look for excuses. It's literally the poorest attempt at gaslighting I've ever seen, and there's plenty of competition online, in politics, and the media.
  20. I don't understand how Bruce, who was admittedly a brave and tenacious player in his day, has devolved into such a pathetic, cowardly, waste of space as a manager. I suppose if you know deep down that you are a shite manager living on your past glories as a player, it must warp the mind after a decade or two.
  21. It's definitely bollocks, or some Rangers fans are going to have some very red faces. There was a fake document leaked that showed a memo on Celtic headed paper that Rafa was going to be the next manager. The clue that it was bollocks, apart from things like that rarely if ever happening, was the Celtic F.C phone number ending with 1872, the year Rangers were established. Rafa's mate and football journalist Guillem Balague has also poured cold water on him taking the Celtic job, and said he'd be taking a short break before his next job, likely waiting till this season ends if I were guessing.
  22. The written media are banned from the Leeds pre math press conference. Seems as though Bruce has got a petted lip on, which is unsurprising given the massive baby that he is. As a few have said this usually signals that the end is nigh for a manager. Then again the shit show that is our club it's likely that Penfold on Fatley's orders told Bruce he could keep his head down. It's not as if Ashley isn't practised in dodging the media when the going gets tough.
  23. He's talking about Jamie Redknapp I think, but he could still be wrong, I have no idea.
  24. Yep, since the start of the season. Still atrocious of course whatever way you look at it.
