Canny idea re the Tyne Bridge on the shirt but sadly it doesn’t work. Probably would have been better on the back as an arse flap thing, or maybe just not. Never keen on those fade out stripes either… see the mackems effort from the season just gone.

Aye and even without Trippier, Krafth at 5 mil and at times Manquillo at 4.5 mil, were for the most part tremendous.

It makes the heart sink to know that football has been reduced to analysis by the VAR electron microscope. It isn’t possible to say this has made anyone feel happier, made the game better or made anything more fair. It has done the exact opposite of all of those things
