He’d probably take it off though, with a sledgehammer.

Oh aye, I know. No moans from me. I was having a nod towards the new direction of the club.

Incredible fee for a lad who’s played only 34 first team games in his career.

"You have been a man of your word, a caring man and a fair man who never hesitated to protect us. I will never forget how you treated me, for that I will be forever grateful.”

We could change the seats from pink to black and white. Get the MLFs to do it, give them a free pint and a westlers 'burger'.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
Dougle replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye. Another nugget During the match only one person can stand at the front of the technical area and, while a second person can stand, they "must remain very close to the technical area seating" and "all conversations between the two standing must happen close to the technical area seating" as everyone else stays sitting down. -
The canned crowd noise made me turn off the sound. Bloody yanks

Baffling, truly baffling.

Hibs getting beat off a team from Andorra. Think that country is 1/10 the size of Edinburgh, well in population terms anyway.

We can only speculate as to why he decided to sell when he did, but the notable drop in ticket sales has to be at least part of the reason he decided to go when he did. He took the piss for as long as he did because it seemed he could. When folk started voting with their feet he knew his time was swiftly running out.
-
Aye you are correct my choice of the word scab was rather excessive. My sentiment remains unchanged though. Regardless as to why folk genuinely did stop going, the drop in ticket sales did seem mysteriously close to Ashly finally slinging his hook after years and years of the ‘Ashly looking to sell the club’ bullshit patter they fed us through the press. He knew he could only pull off the free ticket thing the once, and the sight of huge swathes of empty seats in the ground every time we featured on Sky would end up screwing over whatever ‘positive’ publicity he thought his precious sports direct was getting.
-
If that remark was aimed at me then you are way of the mark. My ‘scab’ comment was aimed solely at the free loaders who greedily lapped up Ashley’s 10k free half season, cosmetic ground filler for TV tickets. If I had owned a season ticket at the time I of course would have continued to attend too.
-
Seem quite proud of it too. And btw if there had been only 30k taking tickets each week I think you’d find yer old marra Big Mike would have hoyed out 20k free half season tickets to you and your fellow scabs.
