  1. Basically all of those dishes. Do they grow coffee beans? I love red wine, literally never bought an Italian one.
  2. Googled antipasti and a typical example is cured meats, olives and cheese. Basically not even a dish, just a shit throw in. I'm sure if they did cook them though they'd through the 70s spice rack at it.
  3. I'm sure you're right. What's your favourite Italian dish?
  4. I'll take that as you conceding
  5. now the making your own pedals thing makes sense Nice to have a real scot on here though, you've essentially rendered KCG obsolete.
  6. I can see the vaccine shitstorm stirring up anti-eu sentiment on the continent, and any resulting far-right successes will of course vindicate Brexit
  7. All you early vaccers will be fucked as it wears off just in time for the winter. I'll be laughing all the way to the yes gemmill thread when I'm fresh jabbed in early autumn.
  8. Every Italian that's opened round my way never lasts long. Even lispy Essex boys with toddlers vocabularies can't sell them
  9. And both are healthier vehicles for flavour than pasta. That's my point really. It's shit value for what it delivers. Starchy and tasteless
  10. I don't order either as a main course.
  11. I've been on Google and garlic rosemary and thyme keep popping up in all the common dishes. GET OUT OF THE 70s ITALY
  12. I'm receptive to change though, feel free to link me to Italian dishes with a wow factor
  13. I don't go to Italians at all anymore. Literally nothing on the menu excites me. I'll cook a spaghetti bolognese or lasagne at home occasionally and it'll likely be a million miles away from authentic Italy (probably better such is my talent), but wouldn't order either in a restaurant.
  14. Perhaps it's my palate, but cutting it into different shapes doesn't make it taste differently either.
  15. Is there a different flavour pasta that's amazing flavour means it doesn't have to be covered in sauce that I've overlooked like?
  16. Spicy to me means heat. Though I appreciate that a pepperoni might deliver that to the soft shites in the south that you associate with.
  17. I regularly eat unseasonal vegetables and could happily eat an unseasonal chip. And neither are a staple of a nations cuisine like pasta. They're side dishes
  18. I wouldn't say they're an outstanding restaurant option.
  19. Sounds like it'll taste of garlic and olive oil rather than pasta that one mate.
  20. Go one better and make yourself a big bowl of your harrods pasta and video yourself eating it plain. Post it on here.
  21. Show me a menu where pasta is served on it's own because it's flavour is so outstanding it doesn't need other ingredients. Thought not.
  22. And the more I think about pasta the worse it gets. It tastes of fuck all. It's full of calories and the ONLY flavour you taste comes from whatever sauce they leather it with. No wonder Super Mario was a fat little shit.
  23. Last time I went to an Italian not a single thing on the menu excited me. Even though I could have eaten most of it. I can see why people think it's shit
  24. I've never had one and not gotten bored by the end of it on account of being a slab of chicken with cheese melted on it. Pasta as well, perfectly alright taste wise. But the calories to taste and nutritional ratio make it a shit food for me.
