Aye. Cmon the mackems tomorrow! -
Complete opposite for me, think he looks shite in their midfield but woule look much better with better players. He's got a really good engine on him and does the basics well
-
If a business can't sort paternity cover out with several months notice how would they cope if the same bloke went on sudden sick leave? Can't cope don't have a business imo
-
Practical for the business yeah? Not the zombie sleep-deprived chap with the new-born.
-
Think of the business owners man, not the peasants
-
What's the problem with that like? Am I right in thinking you're a business owner btw?
-
I think we'll be signing a striker so Gayle will probably end up back-up at best. Rafa won't go into the season with uncertainty over whether Gayle can cut it at that level because if he doesn't we'd be fucked

Can't see Ben Arfa coming back -
Robert Miles! Only 47

New forum teething problems

No point in criticising Ashley now over things that happened a decade ago
-
Sentimental bollocks. Times change, people move on, situations improve.
-
Woah what makes a topic go "HOT"? @Ant
-
Aye but it's always been reported that Ashley was signing the cheques in the background. I suspect this is more of a switch to stuff not needing his approval (which is what seemingly caused problems in January). The way they've worded it is face-saving

I'd sign him.as a squad player but not at the expense of the quality winger we need for the left -
Surely he's worth keeping as back-up if he's better than the other two though. Replace your worst players not your better ones. He's one of these that it's become fashionable to whinge about when in fact he's consistently performed to his full ability. What we've seen of him before in the PL shouldn't matter really because this time he'd be in a well-drilled Rafa team. We do need to upgrade him eventually but there's other positions that need addressing first

Better Call Saul was great today.

Everton might not even be challenging for 7th when Lukaku fucks off either!

Sorry but I hate posts like this. You're trying to be realistic, fine, but people used to cry on about how the "top 4" was impenetrable a few seasons ago. Pardew nearly got into it and now it's a top 6. There'll always be a team that can emerge from the pack. Whilst it won't be us next season you don't know how things will pan out or what players we'll unearth in the coming seasons. We'll have one of the best managers in the division, who has a history of getting teams to punch above their weight
-
Hopefully the attempt to sign Townsend was a reflection of Rafa's confidence in Gouff
-
Dummett is his first choice left-back, has been been almost ever-present in the best defence in the division and has played well enough to warrant staying in some capacity whilst Colback has been a squad player that has displayed absolutely nothing. I agree they'll both stay, but only because there'll be little interest in Colback and certainly not at £4m. For somebody to be interested in him they'd first have to ask themselves, and be able to answer, the question "what does he do?"
-
They've got NDong, Cattermole, Rodwell and McNair who all play his position
