  1. Skybet are the worst culprits for this kind of thing tbf. Their transfer specials are some of the worst value markets around. Tentative link in a red top.. 1/10
  2. That 2/1 is really decent and what will happen
  3. We hated the yellow one before the season though.
  4. I can't see it performing too well over the next few months mind I've been off for 4 weeks now, my appeal isn't until next week. Can't say I'm missing the daily grind like. Feel physically better than I have for years, I was paggered. The only incentive I have to find work is to keep the car running, but the fucking jobs on offer man. I fucked Nissan off before the skills test. Drove through the day before and what a fucking commute, and I love getting out in the car. Turn off the A1 then shite packed 50mph dual carriageways all the way. About 27 mile as well, the 21 I'd read must have been as the crow flies. I'd have been about 400 quid a month worse off than before at least with fuel factored in, losing 10 hours commuting and racking up the miles on the car. Fuck that. I'm going to start a gofundme page to keep me in unemployment and quirkily blog about my antics. Who wouldn't chip in?
  5. I logged into one of my private pensions the other day for the first time in years and couldn't believe how shit it'd been doing. It had a good year last year where it outperformed the preceding 4 years combined. You can fiddle about with it and how risky you want to let them be, I'm just on whatever the default setting is when they set it up, don't really have the confidence to start changing stuff. Does anybody on here manage their own?
  6. Somebody should steal Demba Ba's celebration. Think it's my favourite of recent times
  7. Might get Sturridge for that, Liverpool have a bit of debt and don't think Klopp likes him much
  8. Get a good night's sleep and it'll be on the pirate bay in hd when you wake up
  9. Rafa's Spanish mates probably know more about this lad already than Moyes will ever know about him
  10. Class signing this. Has ability, Rafa will improve him. Mackems will fewm about not being anywhere near the same player for them. Billy Jones kept him out of the side they're telling us. As if Moyes judgement is somehow superior to Rafas
  11. Hearing he was already over here and that his flight was paid for last summer
  12. I can't see any incentive whatsoever for Ashley to deliberately cause us to miss out on a free transfer or loan deal. Those types of deals are his wet dream
  13. It's not really comparable to the Keegan situation given that Carr has done one. Prices are mental and we need half a dozen signings. A couple of those at least will be short term cheap options, either loans or frees. Until we know what we can pick up cheap we're stuck knowing where to put our eggs. The market will start moving more soon. Nothing to be concerned about really. It might make for a shaky start us doing late business but Rafa will sort it out
  14. We should always bid the most. Sustainable business model for sure
  15. Delia Smith has the player, money and pies... she's got the upper hand vs Ashley in negotiations
  16. Quality players are commanding fees that would eat up more than half of our realistic budget. We need to see what we can pick up on loan or cheap first then go big on whatever is required afterwards. We'll spend plenty of money it's just a minefield knowing where to start. I think we're looking to sort out a few issues at reasonable cost before committing to bigger purchases
  17. There's a tipping point though, sometimes it's better to punt on the cheap plan b than paying way over the odds for your main targets if the money simply isn't there. Thats how you end up like Sunderland. Our problem at the minute is knowing we need so much. At the prices quoted you're putting a lot of your eggs into one basket without a crystal ball you don't know what will suddenly become available in a couple of weeks time. I can see Everton blowing the Lukaku money and one or two of their half decent players might become available
  18. I'm with ewerk, a panic buy involves blowing a load of cash. Cheap last-minute options are a sign of a plan B that didn't involve bidding twice a player's value, or 60x in Spurs case
  19. Bet they don't produce much energy
