  2. Nah. It's bollocks. https://twitter.com/DamianSpellman/status/920268767778795522
  3. I hate being cynical, like. "Ashley's not leaving, he's doing this, he's doing that" etc. It gets boring, making it out like he's here till he dies. It's nice to have hope. Praying there'll be something concrete around about Saturday in terms of an interested party, like Staveley being at the game. Just something, pls.
  4. If there was concrete interest from Staveley/other investors, that statement wouldn't have materialised. Praying it's not a fad that turns out to be Ashley's excuse to not spend in January. If we don't have new owners by around about the Swansea home game (13th Jan) then I'll start worrying for Rafa's position again.
  5. Everton, Leicester and West Ham apparently. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4927090/Premier-League-clubs-embroiled-1bn-TV-cash-row.html
  6. Just when you thought the ruination of English football couldn't get any worse: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/sep/27/premier-league-clubs-block-big-six-tv-cash
  7. Think this game/result has a correlation to last season, in which we struggle to break the shite teams down when we need to. Hence the losses to absolute garbage like Blackburn home and away, Wolves at home, Ipswich away et cetera. We'll do better against the better sides: against Tottenham we restricted them to absolutely nothing before the red card and I'm confident that if Shelvey had not been a petulant wanker we would've gotten a point at the very least from that game.
  8. I've not read any of this thread/this place nor seen any coverage but, having been there, I thought we deserved a point and I certainly didn't think they'd done enough to take all 3. Merino was the best player on the pitch, first half in particular. Everything went through him. If anything, Brighton seemed to out-Rafa us, in that they were compact, organised and very deep. The ball from Merino to Shelvey around the 83 minute mark which was phenomenal. Indicating that Merino will find him if they're playing together. I thought Perez was awful first half and Joselu may need a spell out of the side too. Gayle would've had two today. Atsu had Bruno on toast in the 1st half so should have been used more and more.
  9. Brilliant result, great performance. Looking forward to Stoke now. What a difference some wins make.
  10. What an odious wanker. He must think the players are as thick as whale spunk, like. Probably get Chelsea or Man City away in the third round. Out straight away.
  11. I don't want us to pay £20m for him either, however, going by how Demarai Gray is apparently worth more than £25m, Nathan Ake is £20m, maybe around £17m-£22m is the rate for him in this ridiculous market.
  12. Was good season before last as well. Better than anything we have at #10.
  13. No, he isn't. Did you not see the Fulham home game last season where he was the main reason they took us apart that day? Showed he was a class above the Championship last season. Personally would have him in a heartbeat; would sort our #10 issue out.
  14. Will see out the season at the very least imo.
  15. Fulham can give us Cairney or fuck off.
  16. Children of Men. Very underrated film. Brilliantly directed.
  17. Agreed. A good points return from the next 3, Swansea (a), Stoke (h), Brighton (a), say 5+ points and the mood going into Liverpool (h) and the break after should be a fairly stark contrast to now. And I agree with the matchgoing fans at the atmosphere; as long as Rafa is here which I expect him to be, I'll do my utmost to support the team.
  18. I believe that is part of a much longer and more incoherent chant, which I believe goes "we don't care about Ashley, he don't care about me, all we care about is NUFC", so it's not really saying they genuinely couldn't care about our illustrious owner. And if unique 20-20 vision is seeing that the club can be one of the top 8 clubs in England under the right owner and manager, then Ashley really has won.
  19. Hire a hit man to kill Ashley, then manage NUFC until I retire.
