  6. Somebody did by the looks of it. Who changed it?
  7. Her name wasn't in the title so it could be a generic thread. Sadly it seems like it'll be warranted the way this year is going. Might merge all the others in here from the beginning of 2016.
  8. Yeah I know, but she was on telly for 28yrs..
  9. Maybe it's just easier to have one thread for celebrity deaths Denise Robertson has passed away after only recently being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was a mackem through and through but a canny one. RIP. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35941395

  12. And how do I raise the other £7999.50?
  13. As some of you know, in August I'm travelling to Iquitos in Peru with 10 other peeps for a fortnight to work with a charity run my a friend of mine. Whilst we're there we're going to be doing some building work on a school for children from the local barrios as well as working at an orphanage for girls, helping out at some roadside health clinics and taking part in other projects in deprived areas of the Amazon basin. In order to fund the projects we need to raise £6000-£8000 between now and then to make sure that all our planned projects can be carried out. Anyway, we've various things planned including a race night, Whisky-tasting night, fundraisers at various schools that we're all connected with etc, but I need some help with getting some prizes that we can auction at one of the big fundraising nights. Has anyone had any experience of approaching big companies/local businesses/restaurants and asking them to donate decent prizes that we can use? Do any of you work for a company that would like to donate anything?? I've already contacted Nobby Solano on Twitter as I know he's previously visited the projects we're working on and is coming back to the NE in July, but that'll probably be too late for him to sign stuff to auction etc. but he may consider donating a meal at his restaurant Worth a try with him having a personal connection to the charity, anyway. http://www.thejournal.co.uk/news/north-east-news/nobby-wows-shanty-children-4559021 I've not done this before, I've got tons of other stuff going on at the moment and I'm absolutely hopeless at blagging free stuff, so any advice, ideas, donations for auction etc would be hugely appreciated. Thanks dudes
  14. There wasn't a hoax, I just didn't add "No Gemmill" under the title, therefore people immediately assume it's terrible news re: the subject of the thread. He doesn't post often, but he's always here
  15. Sorry! I couldn't add the No Gemmill on my phone at work.
  16. ...have welcomed a beautiful baby daughter who doesn't quite talk as fast as her daddy - yet. Congratulations Ritchie and Susan

I mean, I do nightshifts cos I'm not a morning person, but even I realise that I have to make some sacrifices as a mother on a schoolday

I was making pancakes for the bairn at 7.15am today. That's love Oh and his dad (a teacher) told me tonight that one of the kids at his school will only eat pancakes with gravy on. That's Washington for you
  21. I've been forced back into the life of a normal person as I'm doing a Teaching in Clinical Practice qualification at Uni at the mo. To say my routine is all to fuck is an understatement. One more week on days then back into my nocturnal happy place. Still have loads of study to do before submitting it in mid-March though. My current 20-hr day is being eased with a glass of Pinot though,
  22. Nah, I'm on days at the moment, so I've worked 8am - 9pm today but my body and brain refuse to make the transition.
  23. Wasn't Magenta Devine a presenter on that?
  24. I went to see EW&F at the MEN arena about 10yrs ago. My ex-husband's favourite band. They were actually awesome
