    The only coach who said no was Steve Round who stated he was looking for a Manager's job. All the rest are pure speculation. Trouble is everyone believes anything and everything in the media without knowing any of the facts.

    Austin is a Southern guy. With the exception of Burnley he has always played in the South. A new, dynamic manager is now at West Ham. Who knows whether his wife wants to move to Newcastle. What about their kids? It is likely West Ham would pay him more than we would. So who would be your first choice club then?

    A certain Sir Alex Ferguson banned practically all the media at one time or another. I don't remember any uproar at the time from the media concerned. Ashley knows that certain media are anti him and individuals at the club in order to sell newspapers. Let's face it, a negative story will always outsell a positive story. I am sure that Carver's ridiculous outbursts with all the media who would print anything he said did not do the image of Newcastle any good.

    Who ever said you had to be Brain of Britain to be a coach. Ask Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Wenger if they ever went to University.

    Agreed. Were Newcastle supposed to wait till they had finished their coaching course in Ireland before they told them or would they have rather seen it in the media first. They both knew their contracts would not be renewed and as Charnley has probably never ever spoken to them it makes sense for Carver to be the one to tell them, before it hit the media. Whether you are told by phone, text, in person, letter or on twitter, the result is the same.

    Derby sack McLaren and appoint Clement, without advertising the job, which means they had been negotiating with him well before the 7 days. If they had not been why did other clubs not come in for him. It was only made public when the deal had been signed and sealed.
