    If you watched him against Spain last night you would realise how good a player he is.

    Totally different circumstances. Colback was out of contract and there was no way City would have let Rodwell go on a free.

    One would hope that if you are given that role that you just might practice taking free kicks from different angles in training. Ryan Taylor was probably one of our better ones but even he tailed off before his injury. Is it just me but is part of the pre match warm up not an opportunity to practice say shooting, which very few of our players do. If you watch the subs most times they are just cracking jokes to each other or standing around. Maybe they do not realise they could be brought on any time after the 1st minute.

    Forwards are always the most expensive, defenders the least. Would Real Madrid, Barca, Man. City pay £60 million+ for a defender? You can only compare transfer fees for similar positions.

    Why do people assume that if we sell a 'quality' player like Tiote then who ever we sign to take his place would be 'second best'.

    What has the price of a centre forward got to do with the price of a defender.

    Colback is a hard working player but his problem is he does not have a killer final ball, if you are taking free kicks from potential goal areas then try and make sure you at least hit the goal and not blast it miles over the bar.

    What is your definition of nonsense? Until people realise that some foreign players are using us as a springboard to bigger things (and why not) people will keep on believing that once a player signs for us he is here for life is living in some fantasy world. We are NOT Chelsea, Liverpool Arsenal or Man. Utd. and never will be while Ashley is the owner.

    Since when was there any logic with Pardew's line up and even more so with substitutions. Dummett is slow, tactically bankrupt and believes his own publicity. Who in their right mind would have brought on Obertan against City.

    You are confusing grumpiness with realism. If you had the choice between a top European club or us, who would you choose.

    So when was the last time it worked? Who decides which club withdraws? How would the fans react when their club is 'forced' to withdraw?

    The major reason is the possibility of two clubs meeting in a UEFA competition, with the obvious consequences. If Ashley owned both there is a possibility that they could be drawn against each other in say the Europa Cup. There is minimal chance of the four clubs that have been named ever meeting in a UEFA competition.

    Ashley can not do both from Day 1. If he wants to buy a controlling share in Rangers he must sell Newcastle. No ifs or buts. UEFA rules.

    Two reasons Tiote will leave. He would love to play for a Champions League team and if Arsenal offer much over £10 million, Ashley would take it. He only cost £3.5 million.

    Make the most of Cabella while you can. He will be off at the end of the season.
