  1. They only have themselves to blame then surely. I would happily take shopping over the internet and getting bargains than going out and getting ripped off.You could say the decline in the pub trade is the same, stay at home and drink with friends and family or go out and pay a ridiculous amount of money ( down south anyway )
  2. Lammens added: "Coloccini's arrival is very difficult. We can't go out and buy him; we have always said that we depended on the desire of the player to rescind his deal. That to me says nothing will happen until the summer and until we get ourselves an equal replacement. I can't see the club letting him go for nothing and during this stage of the season.
  3. Jonas is the vice and I wouldn't mind him getting it either to be honest. Outside bet would be S.Taylor for next season though, very passionate and knows what it means to wear the shirt.
  4. After thinking this was media talk it seems as though this could come to fruition, if it is personal reasons then there isn't really anything we can do but hopefully get something in the way of a fee and hopefully get a reasonable replacement. I won't think any less of him if he goes, at the end of the day he wants to put his family first and he has done well for us over the years. Hopefully he can hold of until the end of the season.
  5. Exactly. I can't see this happening.
  6. I don't think so, We wouldn't let a 22 year old leave when his value could double in a few years.
  7. £3.5m Bid in for Gaeton Bong accourding the Valenciennes president. LB Cameroon international 24 years old.
  8. Can't see us letting Santon go at 22 years old. He has said he is happy here and Serie A isn't exactly lighting up the european stage right now.
  9. He will be a free in the summer. A bit like Perch and can play a number of positions. Ver good player.
  10. Never never will happen for so many reasons. You were joking though right?
  11. Good point actually, City like you said did it with Santa Cruz, Wayne Bridge and the likes of Bellamy and that didn't get them anywhere fast at the start. Saying that there is one common theme there..... Mark Hughes. A manager who has had two fantastic opportunities which most managers would give anything for and he messed both up with poor over priced buys.
  12. There would be no point in him doing that, Simpson is injured and we have an international RB ready to get going. I believe he will start.
  13. I don't think QPR can afford to keep offering players high wages, They are still favourites to go down and the money they have spent on wages for the players they have is ridiculous and I believe they now see that. I like to think Remy would chose us over QPR because of the players we have in our team and the fact we are still in europe. Also there were reports he had been speaking to Cabaye last week about Newcastle, not sure if there is much truth in that but you'd like to think the club would use fellow international players to help deals along.
  14. Seems to be the way with a lot of modern footballers, hopefully not though and we can get him in. Not sure who plan B would be.
  15. Just seen that. I guess it's us vs QPR...They can offer a lot more money but we can offer playing in front of 52 thousand and hopefully the pull of some of his international team mates.
  16. Linked with Nicolas Isimat-Mirin this morning, French under 21 centre back.
  17. I think Pardew going would be disastrous. He has shown what he can do when he has a fully fit side and you can only do so much with the players at your disposal. When that whistle goes it's up to the players on that pitch to shine and earn their money, blaming the manager is absolutely ridiculous and if Pardew was to go I feel we would only go backwards as a club and get relegated for sure.
  18. Agree with that. The reason we are where we are is injuries and lack of quality in our squad players.
  19. Wasn't really surprised with the result, A lot like our Europa League games where we create very little with average squad players. There really is a big gulf between our top 12-13 players and the rest of the squad. Pardew did the right thing not risking the likes of Cisse and Colo today because if they got injured we'd be screwed. Our season is summed up by injuries and the fact our squad players don't create much and are very very average. Debucy to come in and Cabaye and Taylor soon to be back from injury will change the look of the team and I believe we will start to climb the table which is important. Cups are secondary.
