Gary Stevenson is starting to make waves as a credible voice of the left. I think he has a future in politics

a hungover purchase (bought the day after the cup final)

there are pictures of burn, barnes and trippier out at the darts all over social media
-
i'll pass on the bubbles, but i confess i bought one of those carabou champions 25 kits. i didn't bother with the home kit this season because i didn't like the big white patch on the back and i'm too middle aged to be getting a player name and number. i definitely won't look like a dick at all with champions 25 on the back of the overpriced polyester kit instead

targett is rumoured to be on 100k - he should be one of the first out of the door for that reason alone. crazy wages to be paying the third choice player in his position. wilson's on a similar deal and he'll be out the door too. tripper is the one i think has shown he might be worth holding on to for another season
-
i'm confident he stays - if we get champions league football. we won't need to sell him. the only way that changes is if a club like real come in, which seems unlikely unless they sell vini
-
he may as well sign a new deal for a load more money, even if he does plan to leave. contracts are pretty meaningless if a player wants to leave. just gives the selling club a stronger hand. not that we have a weak one given he's still got three years left on the deal. it all hinges on champions league football. if we get that we should smash the wagee structure to keep this lad - he's that good - and give him something north of £300k a week, which he would expect to get at liverpool or madrid

I had high hopes they would do more on Europe and move to the left after winning power. Underwhelming is an understatement. It’s been a pitiful and pathetic opening nine months. May as well be Cameron and Osborne running the show

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

It would be objectively hilarious if we pipped Arsenal to the title next season. If only for Arteta and AFTV’s rage -
i remember having ding dongs with you and parky back in the day about jordan peterson and sargon of akkad. i can see how a lot of what they were pushing was seductive for angry young men but they always made me feel uneasy, particularly sargon aka carl benjamin, who struck me as a smug, sad creep. you're not wrong about the mask slipping. that carl benjamin bloke later ran as an MP for the ukip and has since outed himself a far-right racist

I got one on the nhs. It was available on demand via a GP appointment. Took 2-3 weeks to get results. I’m in my 40s

I met him down the Dolphin. He’s a good lad. Good luck to him -
if the rumoured costs are to be believed, it costs more to build one of these new stadiums in newcastle than it does in paris
-
we'll see. i hope that when it comes to polling day most people will revert to type. it might be time to give up on the country if reform do end up forming a coalition government
-
yeah. that'll be the cue to move to the south pacific and watch the world burn i think we are too boring a country. i think, hope, that brexit was an aberration. i don't think a majoity of people here want farge anymore than they wanted corbyn.

hope your old man is okay mate -
FPTP should save us from Reform. They will play a role in the next election and could be the kingmakers if Starmer and co don't get their act together sharpish.
