ferdinand = the next titus bramble, blatantly. i don't fancy upson either tbh
-
Do you blame them for nobody wanting to sign him or that they backed the manager with cash to sign him in the first place? i blame them for backing souness. Yet at the time when Shepherd gave Souness money to go on his mad spending spree you were "mindlessly optimistic" and thought he had put a team together good enough to win the league... http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...=1367&st=20 Perhaps Leazes has a point when he talks about peoples 'damned if he does, damned if he doesn't' mentality towards Shepherd... "that squad on paper should be challenging for the title". fuck me, i couldn't have called it any worse if i'd tried.

swp doesn't fancy a relegation battle apparently. he'd come in a flash to us. shame he doesn't play left back. i reckon we'd be in for him if we didn't already have dyer, milner and nobby that can all play right wing

proper club

WHY? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD....WHY? you know you love it
-
typical. expect us to loan him out until his contract expires a'la viana then release him for free/peanuts. another masterstroke in the transfer market from the 5th greatest board in the country.
-
who is that? too funny
-
this campaign has been going on for years now. any response from shepherd et al so far?
-
carr is a shower of shite. a squad player at best.

i can't see us selling our captain in mid-season like
-
looks like some weird mating ritual to me

a new defender or two should cure that Save conceeding two goals to a championship team though, eh. better possession and killing the game off and scoring a 3rd goal would as well... I could ask how many times you have seen the team play..... but it is blindlingly obvious that the trouble with this team is an inability to hold the ball up front, in todays case the game should have been dead and buried There are many troubles with the team, of which that is indeed one of them. However, it's also clear to see that even with Henry and Drogba up front, this team would still conceed goals with their current defenders. Personally, I'd love to see us sign a new striker, along with a couple of new midfielders and 4 new defenders. However, when you look at the squad, forgetting the injuries, we're much stronger up front than we are at the back. I think we should be looking to bring a cheap striker in (Viduka for example) and invest in a couple of good defenders. you don't want much from a shite board. I don't agree we are strong up front. Ameobi isn't good enough. Sibierski is playing above himself and is a midfield player anyway. Martins and Owen may not be able to play together. It doesn't leave much does it ? You should "plan" a bit better, we need at least one forward. The big money should be spent on that. The shite board is practically bankrupt after spunking up its money on Souness. We are losing a million a month - that's a fact based on NUFC accounts. Without selling players (and who can we afford to lose?) we aren't going to be buying any quality forwards or defenders. People are deluding themselves. i can't believe that's true. the 5th best chairman in the country wouldn't let it happen

leazesmag's new line about us not needing defenders is almost as funny as his mindless defence of shepherd
-
fuckity fucky fuckers

i know a lot of people advocate us signing upson, but i've never been a massive fan. doesn't look the quickest either - bellamy had him breathing out of his arsehole when we played brum a few seasons back.
-
we'll see
-
as much as i rate milner, i'd let him go if swp was coming in to replace him
-
he deserves it tbh
-
"some of our supporters would prefer us to win the FA Cup more than anything else." what a load of cobblers. would anyone honestly rather we won the fa cup than the league or the european cup?
-
apparently bayern wouldn't pay much more than £3-4m for him
-
pay increase to £75k... allegedly
-
what's everyone's thoughts? happy, or would you rather see him sold and barton signed as his replacement? i am personally pretty pleased that he will be staying. he's a much better footballer than parker.
-
Good cover? He is better than any of our defenders, bar none. I think he meant he can play in a few positions. He'd start when fit were he here, obviously. aye. he'd stroll in to our starting lineup ahead of the likes of carr, bramble, ramage etc
