aye, i like dyer playing off a front man. and it's a positio he needs to score goals from. there's even been rumours that he might play there in the next england friendly.
-
He's done a decent job. But he isn't the inspirational or visionary character that can make things take off. aye, it's hard to imagine him delivering an inspirational, churchillian half time team talk to rally the troops.
-
i've got a really shit old nokia
-
decent enough record when you consider the shite he inherited from souness and all the injuries to key players. the real test is whether he can get the bets out of our best starting eleven. we should be top 6 with our strongest team out.
-
i thought it was canny. cheesy as fuck and utterly predictable but i loved the shots of the toon and tynemouth.
-
you know you're getting old when all your mates are planning a big night out but all you really want to do is go home, rent a dvd and order a curry with the missus.
-
what they're saying is right if you're looking to improve an half decent squad, but we're are in a sitiuation where we are desparate for bodies - even if it was a few loans just to boost the numbers so we don't have to put half the youth team out every week. i fully expect the tea lady to get a run out at some point this season.

I may not play this season - Owen

i don't expect him to play this season, and if we fail in the uefa cup there isn't really much point. better to make sure he's 100% for the start of the next campaign. -

i got a y3 top and a paul smith jumper in the january sales. oh, and a new flat. £340k and it hasn't even got a bastard garden. goddam london prices. that said, i sold me one bed flat with no garden for £250k. madness i tell thee

Football players with nut like names

lol at this thread -
i don't agree. sticking with martins, dyer and sibierski as our only fit "recognised" strikers and not signing a stopgap like cole for six months is a mistake. lord have mercy if martins picks up a serious injury.
-
if we had got him, i would have put money on him bagging more goals than sib, dyer and shola
-
Captain Contrary.......to the rescue! every board needs a troll. this one esepcially since we seem to have lost leazesmag. i've got to say though that leazesmag's rants were slightly more entertaining, if slightly scary at times.
-
i reckon cole would have been an ideal stopgap signing, and a perfect foil for martins
-
As unlikely as all this sounds, that part wouldnt be that shocking. If anyone can take the high road and be the bigger man, it's Sir Bob. i don't doubt it. but why would an honerable man like sbr even contemplate the idea of going back to work for the cretin who sacked him after he produced league finishes of 4th, 3rd and 5th
-
i didn't think even fat fred could be this clueless. the bold bits are astonishing tbh. i wonder what leazesmag makes of it all.
-
you've got to wonder why shepherd didn't let him see out his contract and then move him upstairs instead of sacking him 4 games into the season after we finished 5th. i would be amazed if sir bobby wanted anything to do with the fat twat that runs the club after the way he was treated.
-
i can't believe how poor duff has been like. he's been a different player to what he was at chelsea. i wonder if he's suffering from the 'move to a smaller club on a big wedge demotivation' syndrome that affected butt in his first season with us. there's no doubting duff's quality but it would be nice to see him do something some time soon.
-
we threw away our chances of getting back into the champions league any time soon when shepherd sacked robson and replaced him with souness and then roeder. it's going to be some time (and possibly a new chairman and manager) before we even threaten to get near the top 4 again. anyone who thinks otherwise needs a reality check.
-
a group of oil rich arabs could be exactly what we need
-
andy cole would have beena perfect stopgap signing for the rest of the season and would have worked well with martins. i can't understand why we weren't in for him tbh
-
wow, so we were in the hunt for players for the whole of the last day of the window?
