looking good micky o! how weeks of light training before he's ready to step up to to the real thing?
-
i actually really hope we don't sign heskey. for alll the "hard work he does for the team", i'd sooner sign a striker that can score goals.
-
and emre's not?? i've always thought he was quite hard to knock off the ball - low cenre of gravity and all that. plus he always looks to win the ball back like a terrier whenever he's dispossesed... not the strongest tackler in the world though, granted. the main problem with emre for me is that he never seems to be able to stay fit for more than a handful of games at a time and he doesn't suit playing alongside parker in the middle, not that i'm advocating selling emre and keeping parker...

Onyewu rises above Bellamy's belligerent display

why does every newcastle manager seem to rate bramble so highly when it's obvious to all of us that he's not good enough? i'll cry if he's offered a new contract. -
someone post it. i want to see it
-
over-rated. i'd prefer emre to stay, or for us to sign a more creative midfielder to play alongside parker or butt if emre does go. reo-coker seems a bit light weight to me.
-
is this kid for real? i doubt he was even at the match - he comes across like a semi-retarded eleven year-old
-
martins and owen might work but i fancy recruiting a better target man than le sib, who tbf shouldn't bemore than a 4th or 5h choice. i like the idea of a big man/little man fron two. ashton with either martins or owen would be good -let's face it, neither are going to be fit all season and it's good to have at least 2 top class strikers to rotate
-
assuming we've got some money, and west ham go down, i'd go in for ashton and konchesky.

playing music after a goal is small-club-tastic

me too. good to see glenn dropping an under-peforming 'big name' player. i can't understand why he sees bramble as an automatic starter though.
-
finally...a man that tells it like it was Keegan was over-rated too then. hardly. they both had poor international careers but i remember keegan inspiring liverpool to league titles and european cups and winning european player of the year awards. captain marvel didn't achieve much with man u until he was a fringe player.

Oba to be banned from International football

good news for us. something tells me they'll come begging if they qualify for the next world cup...although martins will be pushing 40 by then so maybe not -
an away win by the odd goal with a big decision going against us so we feel cheated.

“I've said that we need to improve our play in the final third and if Luque comes in then he'll help us to do that.” Graeme Souness

i'll be tuning out. his interview persona is about as interesting as shearer's.

finally...a man that tells it like it was

the worrying thing is we don't seem to be targeting a left back at the moment.

Newcastle United: 13th richest club in the world.

...and yet not a pot to piss in it seems. -
Well now! for a while I considered you to be quite knowledgable in assessing players but now I can see I vastly over-rated your ability. looks like i over-rated your ability to rate my knowledge of assessing players...or something
-
double wanker even?
-
i've spent the last 20 mins reading this board, taking no notice of the match at all
-
I'd say N'Zogbia was major competition tbh not exactly the same as competing with cole and robben for a place though is it? when fit, he's guaranteed a start under roder.
-
never said he wasn't a good player. he was over-rated though in my opinion.
