  1. That's going way over the top tbh Dan. Emre and Moore both had good games, Parker and Rammage (in the centre) were both solid, Duff did well playing way out of position and the Sib did well considering he's nee good and wasn't match fit. Carr was his usual poor self, Bramble continued to look very iffy, Given needs to improve his distribution because his and Bramble's long punts are preventing us from playing any football, the Zog faded when Duff went behind him and Martins looks well short of match fitness and is struggling to adapt to our kick and rush game. It was a poor match to watch but were weren't as awfull as is being made out. apart from a 30 minute spell in the first half we were gash, when you consider the quality of the opposition. i don't buy into the whole 'there's no easy games in europe' line. that was an easy game. we should have put it to bed by a good few goals and kickstarted our season. instead we go into the west ham game with little or no confidence.
  2. i don't think i'd give any of them more than a 5 tbh
  3. this is common knowledge tbh. nicky butt, luque and kluivert were all shepherd signings.
  4. Do you want him to sign these short term players and slag him off, or do you not want him to sign them and slag him off ? Or do you - as is normal - naively believe the club can afford to buy half a team of superstars every summer...although you would then say there are "too many trophy signings" Canny laugh anyway honestly. why do you insist on putting words in people's mouths in a feeble attempt to justify your cretinous defence of shepherd? where have i said i expected us to sign a team of superstars? all i expected was our chairman and manager to have some kind of plan in spending our limited budget. that means: * not spending it all on two attacking players, one of whom despite being a good player we didn't really need. * not leaving the majority of our business until the last few days of the window AGAIN * not panic buying the likes of siberski, bernard and rossi * investing a good chunk of the budget on some quality at the back. something we have failed to address AGAIN honestly, i don't know how you can defend it. we missed out on free tranfers like sol campbell, hasam tabelsi, jimmy floyd hasslbank and many more that would have added depth, quality and experience to the squad. instead we approach the window with little or no strategy AGAIN and the end result is a wafer thin unbalanced squad. answer me this: are you honestly happy with our defence going into the new season? don't you think we should have added more to that area of the squad than oliver bernard, who frankly has been shit since he left us. even glen realises now "doh" "Titus has tweaked his ankle and his knee in the same incident and, although it's not serious in terms of him being out for three or four weeks, he is touch and go for the weekend," said the United boss, who will hope that Steven Taylor can shake off a foot problem. "I expect Titus to be fully fit soon and I'm not overly concerned. It was a precaution bringing him off. "But we have not got a lot of cover in the central defensive positions." try telling that to leazesmag glen

  6. it is hard to argue with him. he's probably as worried as we are about the season ahead. good to see him making public comments - he must be on the mend then is he? the man is as tough as old boots. how many times has he battled off cancer now?
  7. fuck all that. this should have been a cricket score. these kind of games are ideal for boosting confidence. does anyone honestly expect us to get anything at west ham on sunday?
  8. not in the least. i fully expected a dull and depressing one nill win. ...although i didn't expect the sib to be among the goals. good on him.
  9. that's worrying. siberski and luque up front on saturday is it?
  10. has this match been as painful to watch as our last european encounter?
  11. how's the sib getting on? club legend in the making?
  12. martins could do with a goal. if he can't get one against this shower of shite i'm going to start worrying
  13. wou'dn't mind if we had any cover. step forward local boy geordie hero ™ lee clarke to save the day as a makeshift centre half
  14. what's the latest? anyone watching it?
  15. howay the sib. i always said he was a good buy
  16. if the signing of siberski wasn't desperate i don't know what is
  17. there could be trouble ahead....
  18. you don't see it do you ? You can't accept the need for one or two short term stop gap players in the real world. You're so thick, you expect the board to find 50m quid every summer, buy half a team every year....yet you think they are shite ........ Lost irony or what. Priceless. thick? that's rich coming from the man who defends the chairman's actions this summer. SHEPHERD OUT As I've said before, blokes like you will moan on like fuckwit manu fans do, regardless of what the club do. I never thought I would see the day NUFC fans whinged on like manu fans. Which is a sign of raised expectations - but you are too thick to see it or understand it. You are also too thick to understand that if you think in the real world our board is shit, then you wouldn't know one if they slapped you in the face with a wet fish. You could - maybe - slightly raise my opinion of your attitudes if you commented like an adult on what you seriously think the club were able to do this summer, how much money you think they had, and how they should have alternatively spent it, instead of forever bleating on about how you - hugely ironcally and stupidly - expect a shite board to spend a shitload of money every summer that isn't there. you're starting to get really fucking boring now. we've had this debate about a thousand times before and i'm far too busy at work today to get into another one. at the end of the day day leazes, you are in a minority of one on this board when it comes to your unwavering defence of shepherd. are we all thick fuckwit man u clones on this board? or has your argument died on its arse and you are too proud or stupid to admit you were wrong? SHEPHERD OUT
  19. i've got a feeling something truely awful is going to happen to nufc this season.

  21. not while shepherd is at the helm no. and purely because no decent manager wants to work for the fat twat
  22. sibierski - great planning rossi - great planning no new centre half - great planning duff was a good buy, but it was hardly a problem position. we bought him because he became available at a good price. good planning would have been to buy campbell and not to wait until the last week of the window to go for huth and woodgate and then panic buying the likes of siberski, rossi and bernard. that for me is BAD planning. SHEPHERD OUT
