fat fred is one of the only morons in football stupid enough to appoint souness, let alone back him to the tune of £50m. it's easy to blame souness - he is afterall one of the worst managers ever to grace the top flight - but it's not his fault that he was given a job that he was blatantly never up to doing. he never should have been given the job. only a chairman as cretinous as shepherd would appoint a man with such a poor cv as manager of england's 5th biggest club.

i can see it now. he's got his pick of the world's best clubs and he chooses a micky mouse outfit like us. not going to happen. anyway. he's a defender so therefore won't fall under fat fred's trophy signing radar. we don't need defenders. we prefer to cain our entire budget on forwards and midfielders.

it's been obvious for years that bramble isn't good enough. it was obvious when he played alongside o'brien. it was obvious when he played alongside boumsong. he was an expensive mistake. he's not going to get any better at this stage of his carreer. it's time to drop him and admit we fucked up. we can't afford to keep him in the side - his mistakes contribute to too many dropped points

His decisions today were absolutely puzzling. Duff looked not too bad on the left wing all day, as did Solano to a lesser extent on the left. After Duff went to the right he went into hiding. But we had to strikers up front who looked clueless all day but were allowed to stay on the pitch. I was actually not totally against of the appointment of Roeder and thought with some good work over the summer we might put a decent squad together and with the easy start could have a flying start. But everything started to become a total disaster and the poor performances now are just a reflection of the bad planning of the season during the summer. blatant leazesmag baiting

the problem is that if we do sack roeder now, shepherd is going to be straight on the phone to shearer and that could be a disaster to be fair. shepherd is the man that fired robson, appointed and backed souness and hired roeder. if anyone walks it should be the fat man.
