i can see them getting an away goal tonight and then finishing us off in holand.
-
carr an option at left back. oh, great.
-
i would have liked to see barca win, just so we didn't have to listen to clive tyldsley bleat on one more time about liverpool's special relationship with the european cup and "that night" in instanbul. change the record ffs
-
how times have changed, eh? the club should srop prices to a tenner a pop tomorrow. a stadium full of 50,000 charvers would make a hell of a racket.

this is what people are reduced to when they get into a 'debate' with leazesmag. i've seen it happen to more than a few decent posters.

i'm not usually a pedant on such matters but that's a shocking use of the apostrophe

worst city/town to have a night out in (uk)
Dr Gloom replied to bobbyshinton's topic in General Chat
sheffield is a very good night out tbh Half of the places mentioned so far are a good night out. A night is what you make of it. My worst night out was in London, mainly because none of us knew the right places to go to. Wouldn't class it as the worst place for a night out though. most bars in the west end - where most tourists end up - are pretty awful. -

i'm certainly not going to make any predictions as far as england are concerned after my ashes tip. aussies to win -
howay ally...absynthe is fucking rank. bourbon and single malt scotch are the only spirits i can enjoy straight...shooters are a different matter though, obviously. food wise, i've never tried sweetbreads. never fancied it much either tbh. the idea of eating any offal is pretty disgusting.

Yeh I really like the nightlife in Sheffield. As you say it caters for all needs. Load of my mates went to Hed Kandi on Saturday at Crasher, not my thing but they all had a great time on their pills ( ) I find as a student though if you go out in town on a Friday or Saturday the locals aren't as welcoming as other cities. Were you a student quite recently or a while back Dan? seems like yesterday but it's coming up for ten years ago. gatecrasher was just kicking off at the time but i was more interested in nights at the music factory, the unit and the arches. the leadmill is a great live band venue plus we had a really nice selection of locals around hunters bar and eccelsal road. quality independent cinema too....the showroom iirc. the years fly by once you start work. student days were the best time ever - you can make good money working but you'll never have that much free time again in your life... -

i went to uni in sheffield. loved the place tbh. great night out whatever you're into. good live band scene, nice mix of clubs and enough bars to keep you happy. not just a student town either. i hooke dup with quite a few locals when i lived there - i loved it. leeds is a good crack too, although not quite as friendly as sheffield. got to add milton keynes to that list btw - what a shithole. oh, and gloucster, staines and canning town. -
not as big a blow as previous seasons given the £30m coming in from the new tv deal. this year is all about staying up and using that money to rebuild in the summer.

Would anyone like to see West Ham stay up
Dr Gloom replied to Kevin Carr's Gloves's topic in Newcastle Forum
he looks every inch a newcastle defender tbh. can you imagine ferdinand and bramble at the back? it would be like bramble and boumsong all over again, tweedle dum and tweedle dee mark II -
i think we might win this one, probably by the odd goal. an unconvincing win is my prediction.

Blackburn to reduce ticket prices by more than a quarter
Dr Gloom replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
we should blatantly lower price for cup games where we're struggling to fill the stadium. as long as there's a full house very week in the league, season tickets won't be going south anytime soon. i don't see fred worrying too much about corporate social resposibility -

croydon's pretty dire. and slough for that matter. sunderland? -
double wanker surely? ho ho. tut tut. etc No, you're the only double wanker Dan, you hold a unique position in Leazes's esteem, about to be usurped by Noelie though if you're not careful. my toontastic claim to fame is that i think i was the first to be on the receiving end of that extra special insult
-
Leazes man, read that sentence and tell me that this isn't what you do yourself? I get your overall point, that over the last 40 years this club has improved dramatically. But stop using the goals of the 1960's club, they no longer apply. Our aim should be championsleague qualification through the league every year, it should be truly challenging for the domestic pots and it should be building a team that will sustain a prolonged assault on the title. None of these will happen under Shepherd. If you can't see this, or you disagree then there truly is no hope for you. you're spot on, but you know he won't agree. he'd look a bit silly now if he suddenly agreed with the rest of this board and admited he's been talking rubbish all these years.

Leazes can, and will. You were right. It really is a waste of time and effort replying to him. i just spent a few minutes composing a post and then realised better.
-
i love leazesmag's comedy stock phrases: KK bandwagon jumpers, Fancy Dan lecturers, tut tut, double wanker, fuck monkey etc the list is endless

it was handbags. yellow cards all round would have been fine

Have we scored any direct FreeKicks this season?

not a bad shout. a close range blaster from the edge of the box is usually a better bet than a curler. -
i'd sooner we kept hold of emre than parker. if only nicky butt was 5 years younger. he's been our best central midfielder this year by far.
