  1. taylor looked offside to me when the ball was first played into the box. i dunno how hughes can winge about martins' goal mind.
  2. If Luque had grafted anywhere near as much as Sibierski he would have won the fans (and probably the coaching staff) over a a long time ago. that's the problem. he's the proverbial gutless johnny foreigner who only here to pick up his wages.
  3. i can't see the argies hanging around for too long like. to be fair, tevez has looked total crap.
  4. i've got a feeling this decision could bite could come back to haunt them. my west ham mate isn't happy. they haven't got a history of sacking too many managers, and pardew did well with them last year. depends who they end up getting in though. sven is being linked in the london press already.
  5. By all accounts he was fantastic up front on his own against Arse the other week. But I do agree that having someone like Le Sib (or preferably someone a lot better) does help him. He had Dyer supporting him though as an attacking midfielder / 2nd striker. In any case, I don't think he'd benefit from playing upfront on his own too much. Especially in the Premier League. Has he ever really played up front on his own for us? I don't think his upturn in form can be attributed to suddenly playing with someone else. Playing with someone who is actually able to help him I would say. i'm sure martins has played the lone ranger role this season in a 4-3-3/ 4-5-1...whatever you want to call it and has generally looked a bit pap doing so. not his fault, i just think he's more suited to playing with a strike partner....much like micky owen in that respect.
  6. Your definition of legend doesn't match mine. if he keeps banging them in at the rate he's going at, he's going to achive cult status with me. he's ketbaia mark II in the making. all he needs now is a novelty nutcase celebration.
  7. By all accounts he was fantastic up front on his own against Arse the other week. But I do agree that having someone like Le Sib (or preferably someone a lot better) does help him. dyer played alongside him for most of that game iirc
  8. what an extraordinary array of mullets
  9. i think playing alongside sibierski has helped him. he doesn't look much good as a lone ranger up top - far better when he can peel off a target man. how good was le sib's through ball for his first goal. le bald genius is fast becoming a club legend
  10. taylor's goal looked offside to me. nowt wrong with oba's though. and their blurk was the last man so by the letter of the law he had to go...not that i wouldn't be screwing if we'd been on the receiving end of that decision
  11. doesn't surprise me, new owners and all. ian dowie for manager if pardew walks?
  12. i predict that we'll loan him out until his contract has nearly run out then sell him for a nominal fee because no one fancies his wages. another cracking bit of business from fat fred.
  13. i thought hidden was a steaming pile od diddly pap tbh. couldn't see what all the fuss was about. i enjoyed pan's labyrinth, volver and walk the line
  14. for two starts int he premiership for arsenal and a no show in the world cup? hmmmm
  15. *winces* Brave man! This is one to listen to on the wireless, alone in a darkened room tbh. i was in the same seats for the league cup game last year. it was a horrible night, watching shearer on his last legs and having to them bleat their 'that's why we're champions' ditty ALL BASTARD NIGHT
  16. i'm in with the home fans for the chelsea game. could be another painful one.
  17. ecouraging signs on saturday.
  18. a bruised toe ffs. that's marcelino-esque
  19. looked like a premiership goalscorer just not a great team player. you think? he looked poor in front of goal from what i can remember seeing of him. Im sure he had a better than 1in2 record and thats not to be sniffed at playing in that side. really? for west brom? that's pretty good considering he started most games from the bench
  20. looked like a premiership goalscorer just not a great team player. you think? he looked poor in front of goal from what i can remember seeing of him.
  21. he's pacey but he didn't look premiership class at west brom
  22. how can dyer still be out with a gash in his leg when he was running around apprantly fine 5 minutes after it happened during the match? i'm prediciting another liver/hamstring complaint that will keep him out for the next 6 months
  23. This year i'm serioulsy contemplating it. are you restricted to buying gadgety presents or did you risk getting any clothes etc too?
  24. i could do with getting my bonus a month early. i've got loads of bastard christmas present to buy. can't be doing with the west end either. has anyone ever bought all their presents online before?
  25. if dyer and duff are back for blackburn i fancy our chances of making it three wins on the bounce. we could finish the weekend nearer midtable than the bottom. vital that we do with chelsea coming up. lose blackburn and we could be right back in the shit. it's a tight league this year. 40 points might not be enough to stay up
