I do actually forget he's still here sometimes when it comes to thinking who we have left! The injuries now have reached proportions that no football club thats existed could cope with, yet we have to, and not just in the league but the cup also. Its a good job we have a while till the UEFA cup starts again or we'd be unable to field a team in one of the competitons! In an ideal world we'd be 2 or 3 up at half time allowing Roeder to sub a couple of key players at half time for a rest and a third part the way through, but sadly this should be a tough game, likely to see us pick up more injuries and a tired team afterwards. I have no idea what the team will be for the match nor what i would pick for the match. Lets be honest you need to wait until about kick off time these days before you know if anyone else is going to drop out with an injury! it's so fucking annoying. i know it sounds like an excuse to fans of other clubs but can anyone remember the last time we put out something resembling our strongest eleven? i'm guessing it must have been during sir bobby's time.

usual drivel and lack of foresight from you assmuming emre doesn't go, it would be madness to blow the majority of our transfer budget on another midfielder when we're crying out for defenders and forwards. even a mind as small as yours should know that
-
bare bones in midfield as well as defence now with butt and parker out. only options are to play milner and dyer on the flanks with emre alongide pattison in the middle or drop le sib back and play (gulp) luque up front.

Why is it 80 years since Newcastle last won the title?

bramble has to go in the summer. i'd be looking to extend moore's contract by another year, sign one top class centre half and groom the young lads.

i don't think many people have said "anyone but fred", but a good majority want him out and with good reason. the failings of other chairmen doesn't make fred any less of a baffoon. -
he looks a lot better than bramble. edgar looked solid too. you'd never know they were the kids when we count babyaro, carr and bramble among our 'senior pros'.

Fantastic strike from the league's best striker at the moment. However, Given should have saved it, I'll agree on that. Why the hell he was that far out from the one spot he had to cover, I don't know. it wasn't that fantastic. given would have saved it if he'd positioned himself better Could say the same about most goals though tbh well i'd argue that some strikes are so fantastic that they make a keeper's positioning irrelevant -
...or maybe duff at left back and milner on the left wing
-
i'd play --------------given nobby---ramage---taylor----huntingdon dyer-----butt-------emre-----duff ----------martins---sibbers

a rare mistake from given for their goal. i can't believe the sky pundits all missed it. they were raving about drogba's effort which, to be fair, wasn't that great. given's positioning let him down. if he'd been standing in the right spot, he would have saved it - it's not like it was top corner or anything. i would have started le sib last night ahead of parker. emre doesn't looks as comortable playing off a front man as he does in centre mid. we didn't have kind of outlet up top. sib looked dangerous when he came on. -
