you think? i think it's more a case of time dragging when you've got a shit full back. the last three years supporting newcastle have felt like an eternity. comes with the lowered expectations and no longer looking forward to the match on saturday because you know we're going to be pants.

Should Luque make the bench for West Ham?
Dr Gloom replied to AmericanMag's topic in Newcastle Forum
it's a tough call. pattison will run around, doing nothing. luque will stroll around doing nothing. pattison edges it by a ginger freckle -
we should pay them to take him

he loves banging out the one about loving his wife too. must have heard it at least two or three times

i felt compelled to add this, especially in light of last night's performance: "Even when Manchester United were bringing the likes of the Neville brothers, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham and Paul Scholes through, they did not have the numbers that we have here at the moment. It goes without saying that our planning and long-term strategy, which was started with Glenn Roeder at the Academy and has been taken on by Joe Joyce, is finally paying off."

recall for lee clark?

If it's a write-off, then surely it's better to replace Glenn this season, let the new manager come in sharpish, see who the crap is, see who he likes, then he has a full summer to do what he wants. I'd say we use "planning" and use the remaining time of the season to find and tap up a replacement ready to take over in May. I know this won't happen though, he'll probably be sacked after a disastrous start to next season in September. I'd put money on that like. i'll give you odds of 1-5 on an august/september departure

hitzfeld, just the man for nufc tbh
-
worrying that we targeting a player rather than players
-
to think, we could have ended up with campbell if he hasn't adopted such a sensible approach
-
i don't think we're going to sack him tbh
-
that 6-2 trouncing to man u springs to mind. brought us down to earth with a crash when some still harboured hope of us challenging for the title
-
one word thread titles that don't say anything are annoying
-
he's not really good enough is he? doesn't squeeze his man quick enough, no pace and shocking distribution.
-
indeed. uefa has always been our best chance of silverware. i still fancy us to jelly it though. I fancy us to never win a trophy ever again tbh me too. cursed club, or could the 5th best chairman in the land do anything better? (sorry...couldn't resist it)

the rich get richer and grassroots football suffers as a result. that's fine if you don't mind man u and chelsea dominating everything, but doesn't bode well for the national side, and the rest of the country's professional clubs.
-
does anyone expect us to win the uefa cup? or genuinely believe that we'll do more than roll over against the first decent team we play? back to the league then. bags to play for on that score

Aye if Carr coming back means ginga boy Pattison gets dropped then, despite the fact that Carr is shit, the team will have been improved. i'd go along with that. but it's a pretty poor reflection on the lack of quality and depth in the squad that we're looking forward to a numpty like carr returning to the side.
-
not that bothered tbh.
-
last night's result has been coming like. we need practically a whole new back four. i'd be looking at two new full backs and a top draw experienced centre half. a new left back has to be the priority. that said, we could also do with a new striker. can't be relying on le sib to lead the line next season.
-
i used to like newcastle-online when it was a merger of the two boards, but you have to admit that the quality of the craic is far better over here. the only criticism is how slow it can be at times
-
i thought he was a right back. never seen much of him at left back or centre back but it's hard to imagine he'll be worse in those positions than the likes of bramble and babbayaro. it also could (hopefully) mean carr is on the way out.
