i still expect them to finish above us but we're similar clubs in many ways. both have ideas abover our station.
-
owen/martins could work but we'd have to play the ball on the deck and look to exploit their pace. no point in wellying the ball into the mixer with two short arses up front. we could play a mean counter attacking game with those two hitting defences on the break but that would also mean recruiting almost an entirely new back four.

Eh? His current contract is still running until 2010 and he is already on alleged 60k a week. He hasn't really earned a pay raise on these enormous wages, has he? shows the club are backing him to the hilt. and that i was right when i revealed this news a few weeks back
-
so we're the 5th best over the past ten years and the 6th best of all time. shame we can't convert this dominance into a few more silver pots like.
-
he has to win the player of the season award, especially after all the shit he took off the tabloids last summer.

if you were given £50m to sort this squad out
Dr Gloom replied to tinofbeans's topic in Newcastle Forum
if i was shepherd and i had £50m to blow, i'd probably give it to graeme souness. but then, i'm not that stupid. -
he's also confirmed that he's been offered a new contract but might reject it if he loses this case
-
carr is gash and has to go. hoepfully he'll take babayaro and bramble with him.
-
the wife is trying to drag me to see dreamgirls and i'm desperately looking for something else half decent
-
i wonder how barton's presence will go down after he slagged the likes of cole, gerrard and lampard for releasing books after the world cup

In your million pound, solid gold house. i wish. still in a one bed in brixton i'm afraid

Official Match thread: Fulham Vs Newcastle United
Dr Gloom replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
aye. i fancy an end to our winning streak too. montella looks a good buy -
Agree with that. Didn't John Hall recently say we needed an active chief executive though? fat fred fancies himself as chairman, ceo, dof and manager. we should probably sack everyone and give him a crack at first team coach anarl

and northern monkey off newcastle online.

He's done a decent job. But he isn't the inspirational or visionary character that can make things take off. aye, it's hard to imagine him delivering an inspirational, churchillian half time team talk to rally the troops. are you basing that on what he looks like or souds like because of the best managers we have in the premier does not come over as a motivator. Wenger maybe i'm judging a book by its cover but i'd basing it largely on his weedy whiney voice. i just find it impossible to imagine him delivering inspirational team talks. have you ever listned to his post match interviews? talk about snoozeville
-
i'd be interested in hearing his response to this question, but won't be surprised if he doesn't reply to it.
-
aye, i like dyer playing off a front man. and it's a positio he needs to score goals from. there's even been rumours that he might play there in the next england friendly.

i've got a really shit old nokia

decent enough record when you consider the shite he inherited from souness and all the injuries to key players. the real test is whether he can get the bets out of our best starting eleven. we should be top 6 with our strongest team out.
-
i thought it was canny. cheesy as fuck and utterly predictable but i loved the shots of the toon and tynemouth.
-
you know you're getting old when all your mates are planning a big night out but all you really want to do is go home, rent a dvd and order a curry with the missus.
-
what they're saying is right if you're looking to improve an half decent squad, but we're are in a sitiuation where we are desparate for bodies - even if it was a few loans just to boost the numbers so we don't have to put half the youth team out every week. i fully expect the tea lady to get a run out at some point this season.

I may not play this season - Owen
Dr Gloom replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
i don't expect him to play this season, and if we fail in the uefa cup there isn't really much point. better to make sure he's 100% for the start of the next campaign.
