  1. anyone know what the crack is with dyer? he's such an influential player and vital for the run in. i hope he hasn't picked up another injury.
  2. Like a lot of strikers, they work in pairs. Bellamy was and is underrated as a finisher, and IMO a few spectacular goals have contributed to Martins being overrated as a finisher. They are different sorts of players, but Bellamy gives the team more, consistently, and makes things happen. I'm surprised at you mate, I thought you would be one of the ones who have a better understanding of the game than simply to look at a goalscoring stat to show a players worth ..... Bellamy makes things happen for others. When Owen returns, we will see how well Martins does this. I'm not knocking him either before some of the plebs will suggest just because its my comment, like gram for instance. I actually think that Craig Bellamy would have been a brilliant partner for Owen, and still would be, and possibly Martins too for that matter. we might have all three on our books if fred hadn't hired the 'scottish fuckpig'. that's the reason bellamy isn't at the club. you can blame souness for doing what souness does (ie fall out with gobby flair players that don't toe the line), but it's shepherd's fault that he was given the job in the first place. once souness was appointed it was SO obvious that he would fall out with bellamy and robert.
  3. north west on the map marra
  4. i wouldn't mind seeing it too if it's around
  5. i saw the banner last night. couldn't hear much atmosphere coming through on the telly, although that's to be expected given the opposition and attendance
  6. it's winnable but i still don't fancy our chances. i think we'd jelly it if we came up against the likes of seville, leverkusen or benfica. is there a draw for the round after az or is it a predetermined route to the final?
  7. i think bellamy is the more intelligent footballer but martins is a good replacement, not least because he'll score more goals than the welsh gobshite. the acid test will come when he starts a game alongside owen. can those two complement eachother?
  8. he has to have played his last game for us now. he is the gutless foreign mercenary personified.
  9. we're the perfect team to play if you're wigan. want to end a winless streak? get the mags in town. i'm predicting a fulham-esque no-show. 2-0 home win
  10. lap of honour to the sounds of 'we are the champions'
  11. Blatant attempt to put him in the shop window against crap opposition, hopefully prompting interest from spain. i can't see him playing another game for us in the premiership so this is probably our last chance to bump up his price a bit. i'm resigned to us either releasing him or loaning him out a'la viana
  12. anyone get the feeling leazesmag, fat fred and bellamy are involved in a love triangle?
  13. i love these leazemag v the world threads. we haven't had enough of them recently
  14. i'd sooner go for a more experienced full back.
  15. i'd say being a tramp out of that lot
  16. i am surprised like, especially as his club seemed happy for him to stay till may. looks like it's more of a family thing - he's traveling between the uk and sweden every week to see his wife and kids. gutted if you're a manc... you'd much rather larrson in your squad than smudger smith.
  17. best: 12 angry men worst: scary movie
  18. I did. Can you honestly say you enjoyed your plate of boiled oats? i don't mind it actually. a small teaspoon of honey makes it just about edible. the only time i crack and go for fried breakfast these days is on the weekend when i'm nursing a hangover and it's absolutely essential.
  19. i had porridge. high in protein for the slow release of energy and low in fat. perfect breakfast. enjoy the saturated fat sandwich though
