  1. How could Smith be a letdown for you? You've reckoned he was shit since day one. He's just lived up to your expectations, no? he's been far shitter than i expected but i'd say that's largely down to him being played out of position and i blame the manager for that. it's plain to see that he's no midfielder. i actually don't think smith is shite up front. he's a half decent striker on his day but i do think spending £6m on a 4th choice forward was a bit of a waste. The other day (before the Arsenal game) you were mocking me for saying I rate him quite right

  3. viduka and smith have both been massive let downs so far like. viduka has been even fatter and lazier than expected. with smith, it's more the manager's fault for playing him out of position but he's still looked poor in the majority of games.
  4. anyone into entourage? i just got the first two series on dvd. it's not a bad us comedy actually, love matt dillon's brother's character
  5. You're right about those good positions, I bet we highly rewarded the manager who got us them, remind me of his treatment. I've not really much to say about that comment, other than you have just confirmed what clueless moron you are. I take it you are talking about the manager who didn't want to know Newcastle United [his hometown club] when we had shit directors ? Come back and reply, when you absorb this. howay man leazes, even considering how much you rate what shepherd and the halls did for the club you have to admit that their treatment of robson was pretty shoddy - especially after he took us to three consequtive top 5 finishes.
  6. agreed. i reckon he really fancies himself in that role. might explain why he feels the need to throw his shirt into the crowd after every game.
  7. agree on your point about andy gray fish. he really seems to dislike us, the old balding jock cock-knocker
  8. they were making out on sky like there were quite a few empty seats at wednesday's match. was that because of poor arsenal turnout or stay-aways among our support?
  9. And Luque but is he a left winger or a striker?
  10. doesn't sound like a big sam type tbh. that said he did bring okacha and djorkaeff to bolton so here's hoping. god knows we could do with a flair player or two.
  11. mind boggling you say "for a change Smith had a good game". I hope you would be charitable if Alan Shearer or Les Ferdinand had played on the right side of midfield. You must be related to baggy or something. Martins lacks the awareness and vision to be a top player. A few pot shots and spectacular goals will never make up for that. I don't think Emre should have been brought on at all. Barton had his best game for us. Emre should now be sent on his bike and replaced with a better player. Zoggy isn't a left back, anymore than Smith is a midfield player, so judging them while playing out of position is bollocks. Your telescope has let you down again. Agree with everything in that post (which is worrying ) it's funny that after you look past the freddie shepherd infatuation and his daily mail views on immigration, leazesmag can actually talk a lot of sense. edit...not that i agree with everything in that post
  12. 1-2 but i'll take a defeat as long as we put in a performance and sam plays people in their correct position and doesn't start with smith in midfield
  13. i hope he does as well for chelsea as kluivert did for us.
  14. not being funny like but after all the bollocks that was spouted on by people about having "plans" and sticking to them etc etc .............. FWIW, I always said that a manager who loses the plot should go. Thats the way football is. Even stranger is the fact that the wanker who was completely responsible for us not winning everything in sight has also gone, and guess what, people are still complaining like fuck. Roll on the Champions League and a couple of Cup Final, as with a decent board which we now have instead of the complete toe rags previously, its inevitable. change the record man
  15. agree with the above. his dour tactics and poor english would give him about 10 games before fans got restless.
  16. remember when we made a bid for Rooney? Pretty different. We made a bid which Everton were ready to accept. He chose not to come here when Man Utd got involved. Still though, we had as much chance of actually signing Rooney as Boro do signing Ronaldinho. are you kidding or just being stupid? i think it's fair comment tbf considering we had zero chance of signing rooney
  17. whatever man, you rate alan smith He seems to be playing better every game tho. fuck off man
  18. Joey Barton can't play football? Get a grip man. He's played 4 times for us after being injured pre-season. i was referring more the team's recent performances than barton individually. but on your point, barton hasn't looked the best so far. early days though i agree. You were clearly referring to Barton tbh. if i was i would have said he and not they tbh. Which players did it refer to then? I can understand why you're backtracking like i'm not backtracking. on the personality stakes i was referring to the likes bowyer, bellamy barton et al - unlikable players with baggage in other words. on the point of not knowing how to play football, i was talking about the non performances we've put in recently as against liverpool....so basically the entire team. hence referring to them as "they". but choose not to believe me if it makes you happy.
