  1. don't think we need him now we've got fattie viduka
  2. The Ronnie Gill has us going for Heinze. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcast...-name_page.html he's been linked with real and juve already. can't see it happening. and tbh, i think he's a better center back than left back. i can't understand why united don't want to keep him as he covers two positions but i'd prefer a left back with a pace that can do some damage on the overlap
  3. £23m whoah. i guess that would explain how we coudl sign him. depsite his obvious class, i can't see too many clubs paying that much for a 29 year old when henry has just gone for £16m
  4. cue anal oliver's "wide of the mark" piece in tonght's chronicle
  5. what are the reliable sources nufc.com talks of? as far as i can see it's only the notw reporting it, and it was hardly a big splash.
  6. i can't remember the last time we had a playmaker that could compare to deco in terms of ability. i'm guessing beardsley. deco's the sort of player you could build a team around. a midfielder of genuine class that can play between the lines; a midfielder who, unlike our recent bunch, has more than just a 'good engine' going for him. because of that, i can't see it happening. surely it's got about as much truth in it as stevietoon's baines rumour?
  7. Bad argument; Chelsea and Inter have money too. right, which is why i said he's he's far more likely to sign for one of them. unless we're offering silly money.
  8. i'd be a lot more optimistic about next season if we start attracting playes of deco's quality. he's a genuine world class player at the peak of his powers. i can't udnerstand why barca would want to get rid of him tbh. and surely if they did, the likes of chelsea, inter milan etc would be in for him ahead of us. then again, money does talk.
  9. Not like you to be pessimistic. i'll show my arse in fenwicks window if this deco deal comes off
  10. can't see deco or raul joining in a million years tbh
  11. i think it's too early. the captain should be a guaranteed starter, which taylor isn't at present
  12. anyone know if this lad is up to much?
  13. has Shepherd gone completely? he may as well as. definition of a lame duck tbh
  14. no chance the premier league were going to admit they got it wrong when it means that wist 'am are staying up instead of some scruffy northerners
  15. as long as he is never allowed to play at left back ever again i'll be happy. he'll do as a 4th or 5th choice centre half.
  16. as long as he doesn't sign any players in his own image
  17. i'm not that excited about this buy. he's a decent utility player without being spectacular in any of the positions he plays in. good set pieces mind.
  18. i'm expecting another transitionial season of rebuilding tbh. how many of those have we had recently?
  19. dead cert that'll he start looking a player as soon as he leaves.
  20. sounds like they've "stepped aside" to let everton sign him
  21. i rate him but i don't think he's got enough pace be replace owen or martins. he'd be a good replacement for shola though. a front 4 of owen, martins, viduka and gudjohnsen would be up there with the best in the premiership.
  22. good player. i'm glad he's staying
  23. no need for a ban, just a good laugh at stevie's expense.
