we've hardly seen the best of emre but i'm surprised at the amount of criticism he gets. at least we've seen glimpses of what he can do. i'd blatantly swap him for deco if we had the chance but i'd wager that emre could force himself back into the starting eleven under big sam. he never looked suited to playing alongside parker but he was one of our better midfielders last season when he had a few games alongside nicky butt. i'd certainly rather have him as a centre midfielder than smudger smith

i always fancied sven to be well in the premiership. wouldn't surprise me if city do better under him than we do under big sam

we're stuck with him. i have it on pretty good authority that his wages are ridiculous and he won't leave unless a club matches them - which means we're stuck with him unless we're prepared to pay about half of his wages while he plays for a different club...

not taking a year off between school uni and work. i've been away travelling a fair bit but my only real regrets is not going away for a year or more. now i've got a mortgage and a serious job it's not going to happen. although i do get a 4 week paid sabbatical every 4 years so it's not all bad. i went on a month long roadtrip of california this year that was pretty sweet.
