i'm going for a 3-1 home win

Different yes, looks like a big lego set also. Surely Foster considered the culture of the city, the history of the football club and the surrounding buildings near the stadium and you would have thought it looks completley out of place in the city itself. IMO, petty as it may sound, would be an insult to Barcelona football club. Arena's like that deserve to be in New York for music concerts. tbf, the ground is in a bit of a shithole area of barcelona. it will probably brighten the place up a bit.

Bit like all of your posts about him Dan. yup.
-
don't fancy the earl of durham's chances much tbh
-
if he's going to start every week, he has to play up front. he's hopeless at right wing. offered nothing going forward at all.
-
aye. in one of the executive boxes i fancy a home win but hopefully the free food and champers will drown me sorrows

How about Marcel Desailly last night on MOTD2? Fucking weirdo as a pundit imo Hanson was just laughing in his face absolutely shocking. how was he ever given a job at the beeb? he just came across as weirdo who couldn't string a sentence together and knew nowt about anything.
-
how the man ever got a job as a pundit is beyond me. his punditry skills make john barnes look an acomplished anchorman.
-
i agree it would be harsh on harper but given has to play for me. your best player should always walk back into the side. martins looked lively too. shame he couldn't take his chance.
-
when he plays like that, he's one of the best strikers in the league. not just the goals but the hold up play, distribution and strength on the ball - when he's on song he offers a target and an outlet that neither of our other strikers that can manage. shame he can't play like that week in week out. i loved the way we looked a different side second half with n'zogbia at left wing. i think smith has to be dropped next game to allow milner to play on the right, zoggy on the left and enrique at left back. beye looked decen too. good game from harps too. given must be scratching his head though.

"Actually" is a very matter of fact statement, I think you'll find thats a matter of some disagreement. shola was bad the other night. smith was worse

admitting you like james blunt should result in an automatic ban tbh
-
honest article that paints fat fred in a pretty poor light. fair play to him. who would have turned down the money shepherd was foolish enough to offer? shame he didn't have the desire to do anything for us. hope he flops at ajax too

blatant wum except without any humour

newcastle 1 - west ham 2 big sam's honeymoon period officially over and at least one former mag on the score sheet.
-
how many appearance up front then? tbf though, that's not the best return even from midfield which is where it seems he's going to playing for us.
-
i wasn't convinced when we signed him and i'm still not. i'm worried that because sam splashed £6m on him, he's going to play every game, regardless of whethe he contributes ANYTHING to the side. he even seems to fancy him as vice captain which is worrying. he's started every game in midfield so far and hasn't contributed anything as far as i can tell. he's slow, reckless in the sliding tackle, sloppy in possesion, posseses no skill and is liable to pick up a yellow card every other game. i think he's a decent reserve centre forward with a below average strike rate but we already had one of them in shola who cost us nowt. i actually think he's worth a go up front occasionally but there were at least 3 better centre forwards at the club before he signed. he's poor in centre midfield and worse wide on the right. harsh or fair asessment?
-
shola was pretty awful last night but he wasn't as bad as smith, who contributed nothing. at least shola had one of our two shots all game.

i thought it was the worst personally. loved thee waterloo scene but fell off track a little after that. nothing much really happened in the end. i loved the first two so maybe built it up a little too much... -

watched the weather man the other night. i thought it was a really funny and had a realy arthouse feeling about it for a hollywood picture. i'd definitely recommend it -
you're absolutely right that the tube is by far the worst thing about london. when you first live in london it seems a rerequisite to live near a tube line but once you've been here a few years you learn to avoid it at all costs. i live in zone 2, commute to the City every day to work and only use the tube a couple of times.

spoken by someone who clearly doesn't live in london

he's not a bad reserve striker but he's been consistently poor for us in midfield and shouldn't play there again unless the squad is stretched. i'm more than a little concerend that sam seems to think he's a right winger. He shouldnt be played in the midfield, he should be played up front or on the bench. agree with that like. but it seems he's our vice captain now. i was scratching my head a bit last night when sam took off geremi instead of smith and then gave smith the armband...!
