  1. He's right, he's popular and he doesn't smell like fish Except when wearing a blazer will someone turn that bastard light off? i can't see anything You realise that's sarcasm and not irony, right? correct. two gold stars for you.

  3. whether you agree there isn't a great deal to be positive about at present and that things don't actually look that rosey. i'm in the wait and see camp too, trust me. i'm waiting and hoping that the sacking was part of a masterplan to appoint mourinho and the bookies have got it completely wrong. i'd like to reiterate that i'm not negative about things for the sake of it. i'm positive when there is something to be positive about.
  4. You really do believe everything you read don't you Dan. Well I've got a little gem, that no doubt you'll believe. Everyone on toontastic, except fop, want you to shut up and stop moaning. See it's in print so it must be true! Only believes the negative stuff he reads tbf. serious question here alex - is there any positive news to come out of this so far? we've sacked a manager half way into his season and in the middle of a transfer window no less. despite him not impressing in his first 20 odd games, it's still nowhere near enough time to really judge if he's capable. it's not like we're even fighting for our lives - we're in a better points position than this time last year. i'd say the best of news so far is shearer and 'appy 'arry appearing to rule themselves out. but look at who are the bookies are linking us with - i want to be optimistic but where is the positive stuff to believe? i want to read it. As I've already said I'm waiting to see what'll happen but suspect Ashley may have an ace up his sleeve. I'm not being wildly over-optimistic am I? You're being typically negative and it gets a bit boring after a while. Sorry if you don't like that but I'd guess most people on here would agree. i'm waiting to see what happens too. as things stand though, i'm sure you'll agree that things look far from rosey and to all those who are bored with me being negative - i'm not being gloomy for the sake of it. i'm as positive as the next person when there's something to be positive about. as soon as we start being linked with mourinho or lippi instead of mcclaren and hughes i'll change my tune pretty sharpish. my username was supposed to be ironic btw Yes, the OP shows you waiting to see what happened and not just having a big fucking whinge. Fuck off. why don't you try replying to the whole post and not just the first sentence? Because it's the same old drivel?

  7. Q: if you look past his playing career, what has shearer done exactly to show he can do the job? A: fuck all i'm sure he'd be a good number two for an experienced manager looking to groom him into the job but surely it's far too early for him. i think even shearer thinks that - the motd sofa is far too comy a gig to walk away from at this stage and if it his first job, i imagine he'll want to take it when we're in far better shape than we are at present.

  9. You really do believe everything you read don't you Dan. Well I've got a little gem, that no doubt you'll believe. Everyone on toontastic, except fop, want you to shut up and stop moaning. See it's in print so it must be true! you're right. let's all think happy thoughts. if we close our eyes and pretend the current favourites for the job don't exist, mourinho is bound to take the job. oh, i like the way you're suddenly the voice of the board all of a sudden. i must have missed a meeting there like
  10. this mcclaren rumour seems to be picking up a bit of pace. all i can say on the matter is please god please no.
  11. mcclaren's odds have dropped from 4/1 from 20 since harry pulled out of the running. i'm ok though. i'm not moaning - i've seen the light
  12. lord have mercy! since harry's just ruled himself out, second choice steve has dropped to 4-1 from 20!
  13. don't want - any of the managers we've been linked with so far
  14. Dr Gloom

    Hughes?

why? you've seen the light haven't you?
  15. Dr Gloom

    Hughes?

stop moaning man. can't you see the light???
  16. i'd be interested to hear if he was pushed or whether they came to an agreement because he wasn't going to be given enough funds
  17. ok. i'll hold this moan until after our new manager is appointed and assume we're getting a top class manager in until then
  18. i thought sam was sacked but why did we agree a fee for diarra? doesn't make sense if true unless the mutual greement thing isn't bullshit.
  19. so what's your solution? btw - i moan because there are things to moan about, not for the sake of it. i didn't moan about sir bobby when he was in charge because we had a world class manager who put an exciting team together that challenged the top 4. but i don't see there being too much positive about sacking the manager half way into his first season if we appoint him one of the current favourites for the job.
  20. Dr Gloom

    Hughes?

he'd be a sideways step. plus there's the compensation to play out
  21. nice dodge Quite. I've bascially said that he'd done some things that I couldn't understand - formations, selections, tactics; that he hadn't had enough time (no manager would have had enough time, even though some might have done better so far) but that if the right man were available I'd be happy for us to go for it. Cop-out caveats if you like. Everything you write is unconstructive criticism though as though that's difficult to do. You never offer a single solution to anything back. why is it my job to offer a solution? this is a message board - not pmqs. it's up to ashley and mort to sort this out. i'm actually surprised that the majority of people on here have accused me of moaning for the sake of it. i think there's a genuine cause for concern here. fair play to ashley/mort if the do have a quality replacement lined up but the rumour mill doesn't suggest they have so far. i can't see i'd be over the moon if they appointed any of the current favourites linked with the job.
  22. I think you have nailed it. Good sense, as per from HF. How come the dumb fucking aussie gets slated for saying have some faith in Mort and Ashley and HF, the fucking film critic (by the way HF I'll be sending my rockumentary to you and I want a good review ok?) gets pats on the back and cheers of support! Fucking empire my arse. Come on Samwise, we're in this together now. True, remember I did welcome you back to the fold and I promise I won't sue over your plagiarism. Dan, chill out mate. After the last what 3 and a half seasons of shite lets try to be enthused. Now Allardyce has gone and he was shite and taking the club nowhere, everything that was Shepherd's legacy has been removed from the club. Once we sell Barton, bring in a decent manager, sign a few players that will fulfill our needs the world will be a better place. I don't mean to be harsh but you need to see the light. can you see the light?
