i think an AM is more of a priority

i bought a couple. what a fucking waste of money they were at all. thanks fuck we've gone to going back to straight season reviews.

fat fred on sacking sbr - "i wasn't keen to do it and i thought we should have given him longer" you weren't the only one you fat toad. thanks for souness too btw

i reckon he'll sign unless one of the big 4 come in for him. no one else is going to offer him what we're paying with his injury record.

£10m is a lot for a defender. there's no doubt about that. that's not putting a negative spin on it, it's the truth. that's why i was asking if anyone knew anything about him, because for that fee you expect a top draw defender like woodgate. i'm not moaning, i'm chuffed we've finally signed a decent sounding player and am relived that it looks like ashley is prepared to back keegan. but anyone who thinks we don't ususally pay over the odds for players has got their head in the sand. -

How do you we've been shafted if you don't know much about him? you don't think £10m is over the odds for a centre half? even a top draw one? which tbf we don't know if this lad will be yet -

we do always get shafted on fees like. £10m on a defender is pretty steep. does anyone know much about this lad? i suppose it's better that we get ripped off and actually sign some players though than be prudent and stick with our current squad -
sorting the back line out first is always a smart move - i think we're still a couple of full backs short of beign comfortable in that department. but the main priority has to now be someone in midfield who can play a bit. maybe a new striker too. if we signed another two players in those positions in addition to this new argie defender i think we'd all be a lot more optimistic ahead of the new season. the squad would still be looking light on numbers though

So you do actually know what an upper case letter looks like? yes but i can't be arsed to hold down shift or keep hitting caps lock. this is a message board, not a mortgage application -

where did those random letters in upper case in the thread title come from? weird -
Please God, please. x2. agree with alex. if we get rid of smith, there's no chance of playing in midfield next season which is a very very good thing. i'd rather throw a kid in that see alan smith in a toon shirt again
-
just announced on ssn. apparantly he's at the match. wtf?
-
£3m for smith should be accepted on sight
-
a fit saha? yes. a fit smith? no.

the last good start i remember us making was the year we entered the intertoto under sir bobby
-
there's a fair few but i think we should be more worried abotu getting players in before we ship any more out
-
i'm hoping it's going to be one of those seasons where we don't sign any major players and we all expect to end up doing shit but then we end up being pleasantly surprised - smith turns into a world beater, guthrie comes into his own as our new driving force in midfield, owen remains injury free and in the goals all year and duff recaptures his old blackbrn form. clutching at straws but you never know...
-
step forward ....danny guthtrie

ronaldo is the best player to watch in the pl at the moment by a country mile.
-
good player. i wouldn't have minded us getting him in when you look at the lack of quality in our current midfield
