Perfect time to sell Owen to Man City....
Dr Gloom replied to bassplayerjj's topic in Newcastle Forum
He usually goes on a goal scoring run when its contract time or there is a big tournament coming up. Neither happen for him this summer. he's got a new manager to impress though. viduka's exactly the sort of player i think keegan will get the best out of...boosting his ego etc. he's likely to play a lazy fucker like viduka too because he's got a touch of class and that matters more than workrate for kev. -
yes you are. now begone

i actually think viduka might start turning up now that keegan has arrived. plus he always seems to go on a goal scoring run in the second half of the season -
quality perm anarl

defoe is overrated. not worth £10m imo. and do we need another small striker?

keep owen or get rid if we can replace him with someone better. ie not defoe. -
silly challenge but i wonder whether he is the sort of player that keegan will get the most out of. i've got a feeling that duff will relish playing under kk. emre has more attacking potential than any of our other current cms so he may well get a second chance - he looked finished under allardyce
-
owen would be happy but no thanks. doesn't score enough goals for me.
-
at this point i share your mindless optimism. don't want to piss on your chips or aanything but i don't see owen and martins working as a partnership. more likely to me owen plus the fat aussie with martins on the bench or on the wing.

Who will be King Kev's 1st signing?
Dr Gloom replied to newcastleunited&proud's topic in Newcastle Forum
no way is defoe worth £10m like. but then neither was martins so it wouldn't surprise me if we paid over the odds. -
i'm going for we won't win anything but we'll have a good craic along the way
-
indeed he is. he's been the best player at the club since Bellamy was kicked out. Shame a lot of people thought we would be better off without Bellamy..........
-
he's quick strong plus he's one of those ugly brutish centre halfs that will scare off a lot of strikers when he comes running after you with this knuckles scraping on the floor. kind of a modern day martin keown. he'd stroll into our team ahead of the likes of cacapa, rozehnal, cacapa etc

gravesen is having a mare this time around at everton by all accounts. i could see keegan going for wright-philips with duff on the other flank and moving milner or n'zogbia inside. -
i dunno. i wouldn't rule out one or two coming in. there's still a couple of weeks left before the window closes
-
sums up my feelings. all my pals down here think i've lost the plot and every rational bone in my body is telling me it's a barmy appointment. he's a dinosaur; yesterday's man; things have moved on since he was last in charge.... .... but it might just work

Coleman resigns as Sociedad boss
Dr Gloom replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
the romantic in me is waiting for the other half of the dream ticket to step to the oche. in reality, coleman would probably do a much better job with the defence -
Who will be King Kev's 1st signing?
Dr Gloom replied to newcastleunited&proud's topic in Newcastle Forum
Surely the potential of N'Zogbia and his performance tonight warrants a second thought regarding that. he could be the future in that position but i'd still like us to sign a playmaker in the centre of the park. look at the alternatives for centre mid....butt, barton, smith, geremi....not exactly king kev style players are they -
could he be the creative central midfiielder we've been looking for? i think keegan will really galvanise the likes of duff, viduka and owen. i can see us putting a few past bolton on saturday. first time i've been confident of getting a result ahead of a game in a couple of years i reckon

nice piece. where's it from?

a creative centre midfielder is a priority. someone in the elano mould. a modern day pedro would be nice. -
