  1. Would you also rather have Nolan play up front too? I wouldn't say that scoring goals is going to be a problem this season, We have enough quality in midfield to cover that, In my opinion we should make sure we have enough cover at the back to keep goals out. to be fair, we're thin on the ground everywhere. we've lost over 10 first team players and bought in lovenkrands and simpson. we need defenders, midfielders and strikers. a championship season is a long hard slog We are stocked well in midfield. And alot of them are attacking players thats my point i wouldn't say we're stocked well. the more players we can get the better if you ask me

  3. i think it's safe to say that if we do sign marlon he would be first choice alongside shola in a 4-4-2. shola/harewood would be as good a front two as any in the championship kind of player you'd want rid of though if we do go up
  4. big bad marlon will do a job at this level. pace and power up front not to be sniffed at
  5. Big attitude problems though iirc. he'd slot in well then

i'm loving it personally. for an exiled geordie living in london it's ideal, especially as we've won just about every televised game that we've played in this year. long may it contiue - we used to be crap on the telly in the prem
  7. funny how smith isn't considered a striker anymore and even nolan gets a run out up front ahead of him when we're down to the bare bones
  8. player is the bit that worries me. we need players.
  9. got a feeling this might be our first defeat of the season
  10. this is exactly the sort of thread that could come back to bite us on the arse
  11. terrible news but absolutely predictable. i reckon we need to sign at least another 6 players to give us the depth required to sustain a promotion push. they can be over the hill, kids or journeymen on next to nothing in wages. at this stage we need extra bodies in the squad desperately and we can't afford to be picky. howay ashley man sort it out.
  12. let's just accept it lads. no takeover is happening before the transfer window shuts.
  13. Thats a pretty strong team, and their definitely is cover for the odd injury. If more players aren't sold, that team should do pretty well, and it would be surprising not to be in the top 3 at the end of the season. so our cover in defence is two average midfielders? hmmmmm. i guess by the odd injury you mean no inuries. the first team looks good enough to hold its own in this division but that squad looks wafer thin to me
  14. fingers crossed for no injuries. how significant taylor/collocini/xisco not being in the squad?
  15. millwall is such a shithole, it's no wonder the fans are such animals. bermondsey is on my trainline to work and some of the "characters" that emerge from the station have to be seen to be believed.
  16. fuck off you fuck off are you excited at players like this being the major signings then ? If so, fuck off. Major signings? Are you high? We're in the championship, we've not money to invest and we've no manager... who the fuck were you expecting to join? And don't fucking talk about the good old days under Shepherd, because everybody, and I do mean every mother fucker in the world, is bored shitless of your broken ass record. Now, go bitch and moan about not getting a response from N-O or whatever else is tying your pants in a knot somewhere else, you tedious old fart. oh dear, look who's biting. We are in the championship because of the direction taken by the club advocated by lots of fucking idiots, like you. Go and bitch on about your sisters you big tart. jesus wept leazes, you're never going to change the record are you
  17. enrique, collocini and jonas are the three most likely to go. taylor going would be massive
  18. 60k a week though. we couldn't have paid him that, surely.
  19. he's got the one commodity we're woefully short of - pace. not the composed finisher but has proven he can do a job at this level, just not at the very top. i think he'd be a decent buy for a promotion push. you'd probably sell him if we went up. i can't see fat mike shelling out £3m though, or offering him much in the way of wages, which is the right policy in our current financial situation.
  20. smith and nolan bossed the centre of the park. if we can keep those two we'll do well - they're not much in the premiership but can more than handle their own at this level from what we've seen so far
  21. taylor going is even more symbolic of our demise than given leaving in january. he's the local lad and potential future captain. maybe not the best defender in the world but more than good enough for this division. it's on par with west ham going down and losing joe cole and leeds going down and losing alan smith
  22. your guess is as good as mine but surely, surely he can't be worse than ashley?
