if you're in london, it's all about the griffin. pounds in the pot....for those that know ;-)
-
better than yesterday. about to go to boxing class to let out some frustration on the pads
-
david milliband would do well. he's blair mark II dianne abbott has no chance. she's a patronising hypocrite. i think it's a shame john cruddas has declared himself out of the race. he's real labour; with him in charge there would be genuine opposition instead of two parties (three if you count the lib dems) fighting for the centre ground.
-
finnan would be good and would probably start ahead of simspon. 34 isn't too old
-
my mood is apprehensive. got my career appraisal later today and not looking forward to the usual painful negotiations. other than that, not too bad. sunshine always helps. a lazy two week holiday with the mrs somewhere warm would help my mood. only problem is that almost all of our holiday is being used up this year on weddings and stag/hen dos
-
we need to sign around 5 players with a bit of top flight nous about them if we want to avoid another relegation battle. there are question marks over whether our right back, all of our centre midfielders and all of our strikers can perform at the highest level. we don't have much depth out on the flanks either

they're fucking everywhere in london. more dangerous than cars these days given they don't stop at red lights.
-
the spain/portugal bid is looking more credible now
-
i watched it. it was boring. seems f1 is only interesting this year when it rains

i'm a sahf londoner, so my favourites here are a bit biased for 2 for 1 cocktails and good late night music, the funky munky, camberwell - for late night carnage, white horse, brixton - for a nice relaxing sunday session, the florence, herne hill - when i'm back home, the diamond, ponteland....it even has a late night bar these days called 'the rock' pre match, i'd go along with the bodega

i don't know wtf thsi thread is all about but it made me lol at work

Nile Ranger to go out on loan next season....
Dr Gloom replied to accadacca's topic in Newcastle Forum
i would like to see ranger go out on loan, but only if we can get three new strikers in with best and shola sold. carroll, lovenkrands and three new quality strikers would be the ideal scenario in reality that isn't going to happen. if, as expected, we fail to bring in at least two quality strikers, nile should not go on loan. -
an mp at 25. she's going places. good work!
-
nevland was woeful like. he got caught offside all night. they were unlucky that zamora was obvioulsy not match fit. he might have made a difference...
-
Alternatively, don't boo a team that comes 5th in the premiership. i didn't do that
-
welcome. word of warning: don't criticise freddie shepherd in front of leazesmag and you'll do fine
-
the ft backed the tories in this election though slightly reluctantly. seemed they thought the were the best of a bad bunch http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/bd4e693c-56df-11...144feab49a.html

Not that bizzarre - Conservatives are supposedly broadly libetarian and beleive in a smalll sate - no nanny govt etc. Apart from drugs of course when they can ride around on their moral high horse depends on how you broadly. post 9/11 and 7/7, i imagine most of the daily mail readers of middle england would be happy to see id cards
-
yeah, i got that one wrong. bizarre that the right are more in touch with civil liberties than the "left"

interstate batteries?

What do you think the Tories have conceded? The inheritance tax change is still there but postponed so apart from the cabinet positions and a commitment to a referendum on PR which as far as I can see isn't binding in implementation terms I don't see how the Tories have been "moderated". id cards, repatriating powers from brussels, fixed terms and like you said, inheritance tax and electoral reform the libdems have also had to concede ground, most notably on immigration, nuclear weapons and the timing of the cuts
-
this cabinet has brought new levels of diveristy to british politics - at least 20% of the front bench ministers didn't go to oxbridge

Clegg knew about the comment, that bit of pantomime was rehersed as was nearly the whole Press Conferance with pre-identifyied journalist only allowed to ask questions. Aye, it was truely side-splitting stuff. the stufff about them both getting up to take 3am calls and doing joint press conferences was funny. they both looked genuinely uncomfortable and not sure what to say. it was funny how the coaltion was spun as some kind of grand plan. i enjoyed the after you claude moment when they entered no 10 after the joint photo shoot but it struck me that cameron didn't really try to show thorugh body language that he was in charge.
-
tbf, it looks like the tories have won the argument on the timing of the cuts and trident. annoying as the lib dems policy on nuclear weapons was the main reason i voted for them.

enjoying all the bro-mance in this morning's papers. according to the mail, cameron and clegg exchanged "meaningful glances" at their garden "love-in". the sun meanwhile notes the pair's "desire to work hand-in-glove". "just one corridor" will separate their offices. aw shucks. anyoen notice how the press conferece was set up just like a wedding yesterday?
